Lavenia's POV
I might be fair by getting to know each of them, except for Dr. Lane. He probably doesn't need me except to feed his ego.
I hurried out of Hero's office and headed to class for another lecture. Before I knew it, the clock struck five, and I was ready to meet him.
He was already waiting in the parking lot, and not wanting to waste any time, I got into his car, which sped off, leaving the campus grounds and heading toward the location he'd told me about.
He was right. There were plenty of street food stalls here, and the atmosphere felt well-controlled—his pack's signature which calm and peaceful. It was different from most night markets, especially since it was right on the beach.
I enjoyed the food Hero ordered for me. Almost everything suited my taste. No nausea, no cravings—I started to doubt whether I was actually pregnant or if this was just a syndrome.
