Lydia fixed the crumpled paper. She read every item written on it carefully, tracing each line with her finger.
Things I Need to Do Before I Leave Castelune:

2. Find the book my mom donated to the library in 2008.
3. Reapologize to Mrs. Petit for the broken window.
4. Tell Mr. Henderson what I really think of his coffee.
5. Buy a one-way ticket out of here.
6. Watch the sun come up at the Park and bury my regrets there.
7. Find true love.
"What an interesting list," she said. "This person already crossed off five of the seven items. I wonder why they stopped."
"Maybe they realized that the list itself is impossible to complete," said Julien. "I mean, look at that last one. Finding true love. That is such an ambiguous and nearly impossible goal to achieve."
Lydia stayed silent for a while, eyes still fixated on that piece of paper. "You think it's impossible to find true love?"
