Jade followed obediently like a new recruit, and Agnes was happy to spend her evening showing the new girl around the place and getting her familiar with a few workers.
The first person Jade met was Stephen. Agnes introduced him as the nuclear scientist and lead researcher for some of the weapons they were working on. Then she met Stella, a biologist who, for whatever reason, was assigned to create specific toxins that allowed the human body to react a certain way without the host's control. She was on break too, probably done for the day. Agnes explained that she had over a thousand biologists from across the globe working with her.
Jade went on to meet more and more people, from Richard the physicist to Gwen the chemist and even Rory the mechanical designer. Almost everyone Agnes introduced to Jade was a leader of some kind, and she came to learn that these offices were their homes during this period of research, but the real place of work was not even here.
