Jade was careful not to let a tear fall until she had reached her assigned room. Quickly, she locked the door and, without moving from there, leaned against it and slowly crouched to the ground, her eyes full of tears.
Now, why was she crying? It was not like she already know everything regarding her father's death, but there was something about this discovery that broke something inside her. It explained why her father traveled a lot and barely spoke about his job, and why she had seen numerous pictures of him at several beautiful sites, yet never got a chance to visit even one of them.
Then there was Luther. "If Van's father was truly involved in her father's death, then there must be something that Van knows, a lot of things too. But he would never tell me anything," she thought, and that was not far from the truth.
With her head on her knees, Jade sobbed her heart out until she was relieved. In a few minutes, she was in bed, exhausted, and eventually fell asleep.
