Soon lunch was over and it was time for the next class.
"Alice, do you remember what my next class is?" Silas asked as he walked out the cafeteria side by side with Alice.
"Yes, it's English."
Silas was quiet for a second. He had to sit through an entire class with that complainer Rosalie?
Fuck.
Silas looked bitter.
Alice let out a chuckle.
"Hehe, don't worry Rosalie has grown to like you."
Silas smiled self-deprecatingly as he turned to look at Alice.
"I doubt that."
Alice laughed again.
"Haha, maybe you're right."
Silas shook his head. What trickery.
As he arrived at his locker Alice reassured him.
"But don't worry, she really doesn't dislike you like before, not deep down at least."
"Great." Silas said ironically.
Just then Alice looked at her phone.
"I have to go to my class, see you later." Alice said as she smiled and waved goodbye.
Silas looked at Alice's cheerful figure as she walked away. She is definitely experiencing schadenfreude.
Silas grabbed his books and closed his locker.
I guess it's time to face Rosalie again today. Every time I meet her she tries to set me up and make me look dumb.
And nearly every time it backfires and now she looks dumb, which just makes her angrier.
She has been a little more lenient this week compared to last week.
Wonder what that's about, is she really warming up to me?
As Silas was pondering this he arrived at the classroom.
He walked inside and looked around, who did he see?
Rosalie, she was sitting in her seat, looking at the door… well, now it was him.
Silas walked over and sat down, his books making a low sound as they touched the desk.
"What's up?" Silas said and looked over.
Rosalie took a long look at him.
"Nothing, are you ready for today's discussion?"
Silas nodded.
"Yeah."
After that they kinda just sat there in silence until the teacher walked in.
"Alright class, today we are going to have a discussion in pairs, you will receive a question and then you are going to talk about that topic, also I will walk around and listen, this is to prepare you for the real test later."
The class was silent and listened.
After a few minutes of the teacher monologuing it was time to receive the question or topic of the discussion.
Silas wasn't worried about this speaking exercise, and neither was Rosalie.
Considering her old age, she has probably done this a few times.
They received the question and started to talk.
"What do you think about extremes?" Rosalie read the question.
Silas put on a thinking expression.
"I think extreme sports are kinda fun to watch."
Rosalie nodded.
Silas was shocked, he was totally expecting an eye roll.
They kept discussing the ins and outs of the questions, even touching upon some sensitive topics.
But they were both adults… not really, but really.
The whole ordeal went without a hitch. As the teacher passed by and heard their discussion and understanding of the question she nodded and praised them.
"Great, that's a fantastic way to look at it."
The class passed smoothly in this manner.
As the class ended Silas packed up and headed outside. He wanted to get away from the time bomb named Rosalie as fast as possible.
Walking down the corridor he remembered his next class was PE.
He arrived at his locker and threw his biology class stuff in, and grabbed his gym bag.
Heading for the PE class he wasn't that excited. It was just soo boring.
Arriving in the locker room he switched clothes fast.
Arriving in the gym he headed for the circle around the teacher.
"Today we are going to play dodge ball."
They were sorted into teams.
The game went well, of course his team won. If you're gonna play, you gotta win.
After the class was done, he took a quick shower and headed for the parking lot.
It was time for food… finally. Silas has been excited about food now nearly a whole week.
He arrived at the doors leading outside and met Alice and Kate already waiting.
"Silas!" 2x
"Yeah, let's hurry up, I'm hungry."
The girls nodded and they headed down the stairs towards the parking lot.
They passed the Cullens cars and Emmett waved at him.
Silas smiled and waved back. He was in a good mood, he was finally gonna get some good food.
Arriving at the car, Alice headed for the passenger seat.
"Wait!" Silas said.
"Kate's gonna sit there, you can switch when we drop her off."
Alice pouted.
"But she always rides with you."
Silas nodded.
"Yeah, but I've already promised."
Kate smiled. Hah, thank my brains.
Alice looked over resentfully but still got in the back seat.
They got in and Silas started the car.
"Alright, everybody got their seat belts on?"
"Yeah." 2x
Silas started to roll out of the parking lot.
Well out on the road he drove at cruising speed. He reached for the radio and turned it on.
The song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" was playing. This one is pretty good.
Silas reached for the volume dial and turned it up. As the song got louder he started to nod his head to the beat.
Alice saw this and smiled, she joined in the head nodding.
Kate on the other hand didn't. She didn't understand the whole nodding your head to the melody.
She just sat there looking out the window, enjoying the music.
The song was nearing its end and so was Kate's journey.
"Alright, we're here." Silas said.
Kate reached for the door handle, but someone was faster out than her. Alice was already standing impatiently outside.
After Kate stepped out, she sat down in the seat.
Silas watched this and just shook his head in amusement.
Ridiculous.
"Do you think the seat will escape?"
Alice looked over.
"It already has once today."
Silas looked at her in disbelief. Calm down, alright?
Kate saw this and scowled.
"Silas, I will see you Monday morning."
Silas looked out the window and nodded.
"Yeah, also ask your sister if she would want to play poker with us."
Kate nodded.
"Will do."
Alice watched as Kate walked towards the house.
Then she turned to Silas with a curious expression.
"Poker?"
Silas turned the volume down even more.
"Yeah, we were planning on getting together and playing some Texas Hold'em, maybe eat some good food."
Alice nodded, she was calm on the outside.
"Was it Kate's idea?"
"Yeah."
Silas put the car in gear.
"Alright, show the way, where do you live?"
Alice smiled.
"How straight forward you are."
Silas smiled.
"No need to beat around the bush, no?"
Alice smiled.
"Let's go, just drive a few hundred meters, then left."
Silas nodded and started driving.
