Surprisingly, after my disastrous introduction, nothing else really happened. I've been hanging out with Carla a bit and even exchanged contacts. Then before I knew it, its already the weekends. The 4th episode is about to start, known as the three-way date. Well... four-way now.
The day before
"Jayce! Want to come with me to the aquarium, Yui and Yuki is also coming." Carla asks enthusiastically.
"Sure, I dont have any plans for the weekends anyway" I respond casually.
"YAYAYYAYAYAYAY!!!" Carla squeals.
Back to the present
That's basically what happened.
I start to put on my clothes, not too casual but not too fancy. Just a regular jacket for the winter. I put on my shoes and start heading out, as I walk past the streets and I put on my earphones and start listening to music.
Bomb by Bruno Earth starts playing.
I walk along the beat of the song, however this one line in specific resonates with me 'I'd jump in front of a train for you'. It makes me wonder, who would I jump in front of a train for? Unlike the other lines in the chorus, this one seems like it can just happen at any day.
I ride the bus heading to the aquarium, eventually I arrive at the aquarium. I go down the bus and start walking, texting Carla in the process.
"I'm here, where are you?"
"I see you, just look up" Carla texts back
I look up following her instructions.
"BOO!"
"WAHHHH" I scream on the top of my lungs
"JESUS CHRIST YOU SCARED ME" I exclaim, panting from how loud I screamed.
Carla is just wheezing, "Y-You should've seen your face..." she says exasperated.
"I hate you..." I say in a frustrated voice.
"Im sorry hehe" Carla says.
"Anyway where is Yui and Yuki?" I ask
"They're arriving later, you see... I told them to arrive one hour later than what we agreed on." Carla says brightly.
"WHAT? WHY?" I ask, genuinely wondering what her intentions could be.
"To get to know you better! Me, Yui, and Yuki knew each other since childhood. I just met you last week, and you're fun so I want to become closer to you" Carla says with a bright smile.
"...I cant get mad at you if you look that cute." I mumble.
Carla playfully punches my arm.
"Ouch! What was that for?"
"For being such a flirt." She says in a very playful tone.
I pinch her soft cheeks, "You're just cute! No one can deny that."
"Stop it!" She giggles.
After a couple of minutes of teasing her, I decide to stop.
"You're so fun to play with..." I say, my voice genuine.
"You too..." she says, her voice as genuine as mine.
"So let's go for a walk and wait until Yuki and Yui arrive." I reach out my hand to her.
She takes my hand, "Sure! Let's talk while we're at it"
We start walking at a park nearby, many beautiful cherry blossom petals dance with the air.
"Isn't it beautiful" Clara's eyes watching each petals fly through the air.
"It is..." I say, captivated by nature's beauty.
"Thank you... for being my first friend." I say, genuinely thankful for her presence.
"Wait... Im your first friend?" Clara says, her eyes wide open, shocked by that fact.
I nod, "I've always been avoidant of others, I dont know why but... I always think everyone hates me, but you? I believe you care... so dont ever hate me, please?" I say with desperate tone.
"I won't, I promise" Clara declares with sincerity in her voice.
"We should probably head back now, they might be here now."
"Yeah, we should."
We start heading back to the aquarium, the four-way date is about to begin.
