Chapter 15: Pages from the Past

[Scene: Kenta's Room - Weekend Afternoon]
(Kenta is cleaning his room. A rare event. Sui and Yui are "helping," which means they're mostly just watching him and occasionally handing him things.)
Sui: (looking around) "Kenta-kun, your room is so tidy! There's barely anything to clean!"
Kenta: "I don't own much."
Yui: (opening a closet) "What's in here?"
Kenta: (too late) "Wait—"
(She pulls out a small cardboard box. Old. Dusty.)
Yui: "Ooh! A mystery box!"
Sui: (rushing over) "OPEN IT!"
Kenta: (sighing) "It's just old things. From when I was a kid."
Yui: (already opening) "Childhood things?! We HAVE to see!"
(She lifts the lid. Inside: old notebooks, a worn pencil case, some photos, and a small journal with a faded cover.)
Sui: (picking up the journal) "What's this?"
Kenta: (freezing) "That's... my diary."
Sui & Yui: (in unison, eyes sparkling) "DIARY?!"
Kenta: (ears red) "From elementary school. It's nothing important."
Yui: (holding it protectively) "Can we read it?!"
Kenta: "No."
Sui: (puppy eyes) "Please?!"
Yui: (also puppy eyes) "We want to know little Kenta-kun!"
Kenta: (looking at the diary) "It's embarrassing."
Sui: (softly) "Kenta-kun... we won't laugh. We promise."
Yui: (nodding) "We just want to see what you were like back then."
Kenta: (long pause) "...Fine. But you can't make fun of me."
Sui & Yui: (in unison) "WE PROMISE!"

[Scene: Reading the Diary - Together on the Bed]
(They sit on his bed. Sui on his left. Yui on his right. The diary open between them. Kenta's ears are already red.)
Sui: (reading aloud) "April 10th. Today I met two girls at the park. They were loud."
Yui: (giggling) "That's us!"
Sui: (continuing) "One had a gap in her teeth and laughed too much. The other had pigtails and wouldn't stop talking about castles."
Yui: (pointing) "That's me! Castles!"
Sui: (pointing) "And that's me! Gap teeth!"
Kenta: (muttering) "I told you it was embarrassing."
Sui: (ignoring him, reading on) "They asked me to build a sandcastle with them. I said no at first because sand is inefficient. But they looked sad. So I said yes. The gap-tooth one held my hand. It was warm."
Yui: (softening) "Aww... little Kenta-kun..."
Sui: (blushing) "I held your hand on the FIRST DAY?!"
Kenta: (looking away) "You were very forward."

[Scene: More Entries]
Yui: (taking the diary, flipping pages) "May 3rd. The pigtail girl fell off the slide today. She cried. I didn't know what to do. So I gave her my ice cream. She stopped crying and smiled. Her smile was... nice."
Yui: (tearing up) "Kenta-kun... you gave me your ice cream..."
Kenta: "You dropped yours."
Yui: "But you gave me YOURS! That's—that's so sweet!"
Sui: (hugging her) "Our Kenta-kun was always kind."
Yui: (nodding, wiping eyes) "Always."

Sui: (taking the diary back) "June 20th. The gap-tooth girl is moving away. She told me today. I didn't know what to say. I wanted to tell her to stay. But I couldn't. I just held her hand. She cried. I didn't. But inside I did."
Sui: (now crying) "Kenta-kun..."
Kenta: (quietly) "I looked for you. For weeks. You were just... gone."
Sui: (grabbing his hand) "I'm here now. I'm not going anywhere."
Yui: (grabbing his other hand) "None of us are."

[Scene: The Final Entry]
Yui: (flipping to the last page) "August 15th. Both of them are gone now. The park is empty. I still go there sometimes. I don't know why. Maybe I'm waiting. Maybe I'm hoping. Mom says I'll make new friends. But I don't want new friends. I want them. Sui-chan. Yui-chan. I hope they're happy. I hope they remember me. I'll never forget them."
(Silence. Tears stream down both girls' faces.)
Sui: (voice breaking) "Kenta-kun..."
Yui: (also breaking) "You really did wait for us..."
Kenta: (looking away, eyes wet) "I told you it was embarrassing."
Sui: (shaking head) "It's not embarrassing. It's beautiful."
Yui: (nodding) "The most beautiful thing I've ever read."
Sui: (leaning close) "Kenta-kun... we need to thank you."
Kenta: "Thank me? For what?"
Yui: (also leaning close) "For waiting. For remembering. For being you."

[Scene: The Reward]
Sui: (looking at Yui) "Together?"
Yui: (nodding) "Together."
(They turn to Kenta. He's trapped between them. Nowhere to go.)
Kenta: (nervous) "What are you—"
Sui: (cupping his face) "For little Kenta-kun. Who waited."
(She presses her lips to his. Not cheek. Lips. Soft. Warm. Lingering.)
Kenta: (eyes wide) "Mmph—"
(She pulls back. His face is completely red. His lips tingle.)
Kenta: (stunned) "You—that was—"
Yui: (cupping his face next) "For the ice cream. For catching me. For everything."
(She kisses him. Same spot. Same softness. Longer.)
(She pulls back. Both girls are red. Kenta is frozen.)
Sui: (breathing shaky) "That was... a thank you."
Yui: (also shaky) "For being our Kenta-kun."
Kenta: (touching his lips) "You... kissed me. On the lips. Both of you."
Sui: (nodding) "We did."
Kenta: "Why?"
Sui: (tearing up again) "Because you're important to us. Because you waited. Because you're ours and we're yours."
Yui: (also tearing up) "Even if you don't understand yet. We wanted you to know how much you mean to us."
Kenta: (staring at them) (thinking) "Important. They said I'm important. Both of them."
Kenta: (quietly) "I... I don't know what to say."
Sui: (smiling through tears) "You don't have to say anything."
Yui: (also smiling) "Just... feel it."
Kenta: (touching his lips again) "I feel it."

[Scene: Aftermath - The Tension]
(They sit in silence. Kenta between them. All three processing.)
Sui: (nervous) "Kenta-kun... was that okay? Did we overstep?"
Kenta: (pause) "I don't know what 'okay' means anymore."
Yui: (worried) "Are you mad?"
Kenta: (shaking head) "No. Not mad. Just... overwhelmed."
Sui: (grabbing his hand) "Take your time."
Yui: (grabbing his other hand) "We'll wait. We've always waited."
Kenta: (looking at their hands in his) "I had dreams when I was sick. Strange dreams."
Sui: (nervous) "D-dreams?"
Kenta: "Kisses. Touches. Voices saying... things."
Yui: (sweating) "F-fever dreams! Very common!"
Kenta: (nodding) "I know. That's what you said before."
Sui: (relieved) "Right! Just dreams!"
Kenta: "But now... real kisses. Real lips."
Yui: (softening) "Real."
Kenta: "I don't understand everything. But I know you. And I know... this feels right."
Sui: (looking up) "Right?"
Kenta: "Being here. With you both. It feels like... home."
Yui: (fresh tears) "Kenta-kun..."
Sui: (also fresh tears) "That's all we ever wanted."

[Scene: The Hug]
(They hug him. Tight. All three together on his small bed.)
Sui: (muffled against his chest) "We're so glad we found you again."
Yui: (also muffled) "So glad."
Kenta: (holding them back) "I'm glad too."
Sui: (looking up) "Promise you'll never forget us?"
Kenta: "I couldn't if I tried."
Yui: (smiling) "Good."

[Scene: Evening - Walking Home]
(They walk together. Hands held. Sui on his left. Yui on his right.)
Sui: "Kenta-kun... today was intense."
Yui: "The most intense day ever."
Kenta: "For me too."
Sui: (squeezing his hand) "No regrets?"
Kenta: (thinking) "No. No regrets."
Yui: (also squeezing) "Good."
(They reach the gate.)
Sui: "Kenta-kun... tomorrow... will things be weird?"
Kenta: "Probably."
Yui: (worried) "Bad weird?"
Kenta: (almost smiling) "No. Good weird."
Sui: (relieved) "Okay. Good weird we can do."
Yui: (nodding) "We specialize in good weird."
Sui: (standing on tiptoes) "One more? For the road?"
Kenta: (ears red) "One more."
(She kisses his lips. Quick. Sweet.)
Yui: (also on tiptoes) "Me too."
(She kisses his lips. Same. Quick. Sweet.)
Kenta: (touching his lips) "Two more."
Sui: (grinning) "Count them all!"
Yui: (also grinning) "You'll need a new notebook just for kisses!"
Kenta: (almost laughing) "Maybe."
(They run off, waving.)
Kenta: (standing there, touching his lips) (thinking) "Real kisses. From real girls. Who really care about me."
(He walks home, smiling.)

[Scene: Kenta's Room - Night]
(He lies in bed. Looks at the diary on his desk.)
Kenta: (thinking) "Little Kenta-kun would never believe this."
(He touches his lips again. Still tingling.)
Kenta: (thinking) "They kissed me. Both of them. On the lips. Because I'm important to them."
(His ears are red. But he's smiling.)
Kenta: (thinking) "I don't understand everything. But I understand them. And that's enough for now."
(His phone buzzes. Two messages.)
Sui: "Kenta-kun! Today was the best day ever! Reading your diary, kissing you for real, hearing you say we feel like home! I'm crying again! Sleep well, our Kenta-kun! "
Yui: "My prince~ I'll never forget today! Your words, your diary, your lips! You mean so much to us! Sweet dreams! "
Kenta: (smiling) (typing back to both): "Goodnight. Thank you for today. For the kisses. For everything. I'll never forget either."
(Immediate replies:)
Sui: "HE SAID HE'LL NEVER FORGET! "
Yui: "REAL KISSES ACKNOWLEDGED! PROGRESS! "
Sui: "SWEET DREAMS OUR KENTA-KUN!"
Yui: "DREAM OF US! (REAL THIS TIME!) "
Kenta: (putting down the phone) (touching his lips one last time)
Kenta: (thinking) "Real. All of it. Real."
(He closes his eyes, still smiling.)
Kenta: (thinking) "And those sick dreams? Just dreams. These? These I remember."
(He falls asleep, happily)
