Chapter 24 - chapter 24

Screen 1

Inside the bar at Mock Town, the pirate Bellamy and his crew mocked the idea of Sky Island and laughed at anyone who believed in dreams.

Luffy, Zoro, and Sonic stood there while Bellamy's men started hitting them and throwing punches.

Luffy and Zoro did not fight back, understanding that arguing with people who had no dreams was pointless.

Sonic wiped dust from his face and looked at them calmly.

"Not every fight is worth winning," Sonic said quietly.

So the three of them simply endured the beating and walked away, leaving the laughing pirates behind.

Screen 3

After hearing about Sky Island, the crew decided to search for an old man named Mont Blanc Cricket, who supposedly knew the truth about Skypiea.

Nami explained that Cricket might know a way to reach the island in the sky.

Sonic looked toward the sea and then said with a small grin,

"If someone knows the path to the sky… then that's the guy we need to meet."

As Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Sonic walked through Mock Town, they encountered a strange pirate sitting nearby. It was Marshall D. Teach.

Blackbeard suddenly spoke about dreams, saying that people should never laugh at someone else's dreams and that the sky island might truly exist.

His words surprised Nami, and she finally began to understand why Luffy, Zoro, and Sonic chose not to fight Bellamy's crew earlier.

Sonic watched Blackbeard carefully for a moment.

Then he said quietly, "A pirate who believes in dreams… interesting."

Even though he didn't fully trust the man, Sonic could tell that Blackbeard understood the same idea about chasing impossible goals.

Screen 4

The crew finally met Mont Blanc Cricket, the descendant of the famous explorer Mont Blanc Noland.

Cricket explained that his grandfather had once claimed to find a golden island in the sky, but people believed it was a lie and executed him for it.

Sonic listened quietly for a moment.

Then he said calmly, "If someone was willing to die for that story… then maybe it wasn't a lie."

Screen 5

Mont Blanc Cricket explained that the only way to reach Skypiea was by riding a massive volcanic ocean current called the Knock Up Stream, a dangerous wave that appears rarely.

He then gave Luffy the old logbook of his ancestor, Mont Blanc Noland, which recorded the journey that mentioned the golden city.

Sonic looked up at the sky and said with a grin,

"Dangerous… but that just makes the adventure better."

Screen 6

After finding the bird that could guide them to the Knock Up Stream, the crew returned to the shore. There they found Mont Blanc Cricket, along with Mashira and Shojo, badly injured.

They explained that Bellamy had attacked them and stolen Cricket's golden statues.

Hearing this, Luffy immediately decided to confront Bellamy.

Sonic followed quietly, wanting to see what Luffy would do.

At the bar in Mock Town, Bellamy laughed again at the idea of dreams.

Luffy stepped forward and ended the fight with a single powerful punch that knocked Bellamy down instantly.

Sonic watched the moment and smirked slightly.

"One punch… yeah, that was deserved."

Screen 7

At a Marine headquarters meeting, high-ranking officers discussed the recent events in Alabasta and the growing influence of the Straw Hat crew.

They spoke about how Monkey D. Luffy had defeated a Warlord and now carried a bounty of 100 million berries.

They also mentioned Roronoa Zoro, whose strength and swordsmanship had already made him a dangerous pirate.

Then another officer placed a poster on the table showing Sonic the Hedgehog, now with a bounty of 48 million berries.

One Marine said, "That blue fighter moves faster than most people can even see."

Another officer added, "If he keeps traveling with Straw Hat, he could become a serious threat in the future."

Screen 8

As the Straw Hats prepared for the journey to the sky, Marshall D. Teach decided to chase them after learning about the new bounties of Luffy, Zoro, and Sonic.

Meanwhile, the crew reached the massive ocean current known as the Knock Up Stream. With the help of Mashira and Shojo, the Going Merry was positioned perfectly to ride the giant wave toward Skypiea.

At the last moment, Blackbeard's ship tried to follow them.

But the enormous force of the wave smashed Blackbeard's ship apart while the Going Merry was launched high into the sky.

Standing on the deck as the ship shot upward, Sonic looked down at the sea far below and waved.

"Bye bye, Blackbeard!"

The wind rushed past his face as the ship climbed higher and higher toward the clouds, his expression completely focused on the strange world waiting above them.

Screen 9

The Going Merry finally burst through the thick clouds and entered a strange new world. Instead of normal ocean water, the crew found themselves sailing on a sea of clouds high in the sky.

Everyone looked around in amazement at the bright sky and the white cloud sea stretching in every direction.

Curious, Usopp bravely jumped into the cloud sea, thinking it would be just like normal water.

But after a few minutes, he still hadn't come back up.

Seeing this, Sonic immediately dashed across the deck and jumped into the cloud sea.

Moving quickly through the strange cloud water, Sonic grabbed Usopp and pulled him back up.

A moment later, Sonic landed back on the deck and dropped Usopp safely onto the ship.

Usopp coughed and took a deep breath while Sonic said, "Next time… maybe test the clouds with a stick first."

Screen 10

After Sonic pulled Usopp safely back onto the deck, the crew began exploring the strange sky sea around them.

Suddenly, small white clouds nearby exploded when something struck them, surprising everyone. A moment later, they saw another ship in the distance get completely destroyed by a sudden attack.

Before the crew could react, arrows shot toward the Going Merry from an unknown attacker hidden among the clouds.

Sonic moved instantly.

He dashed across the deck and caught several of the incoming arrows before they could hit the crew.

Holding the arrows in his hand, Sonic looked toward the clouds and said calmly,

"Looks like someone up here doesn't like visitors."

Screen 11

Just as the unknown attacker continued shooting, an old man suddenly appeared riding a strange winged horse.

He quickly chased away the attacker and introduced himself as Gan Fall, the Sky Knight of Skypiea.

Gan Fall explained that the air in the sky was much thinner than on the sea, which made moving and fighting more difficult for people who had just arrived.

Before leaving, he gave Luffy a special whistle they could use to call him for help if they were in danger. Then he flew away on his unusual companion — a bird that had eaten a horse Devil Fruit.

Sonic watched the old man disappear into the clouds and nodded with quiet respect.

"Not bad for an old knight," Sonic said.
