As they moved deeper into the jungle of the Upper Yard, Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, and Sonic encountered the Shandians, warriors who were fighting the priests of Skypiea.
At first, the Shandians attacked the group, thinking they were enemies. Luffy stretched his arms and used his Devil Fruit powers to defend himself, while Sonic dashed around the battlefield using his incredible speed to avoid the attacks.
However, once the Shandians realized the Straw Hats were not working with the priests, they quickly moved on to continue their fight against their true enemy — Enel.

When the crew returned to the Going Merry, they noticed the ship had been badly damaged during the earlier chaos in the Upper Yard.
Tony Tony Chopper explained nervously that he had been protecting the ship and that Gan Fall, the Sky Knight, had saved him from one of the priests.
Later that night, something strange happened. By morning, the Going Merry looked almost completely repaired, as if someone had quietly fixed it during the night.
The crew was surprised and confused by the mysterious repair.
Sonic walked around the ship, checking the wood and ropes carefully.
"That's strange," Sonic said thoughtfully. "Someone helped us while we were sleeping."
After that, the crew made a plan to search for Mont Blanc Noland's treasure.
They split into two teams: one group would guard the ship while the other would explore the jungle of the Upper Yard.
Sonic stretched his arms slightly and said with a grin, "Jungle exploration? Sounds like fun."

High above Skypiea, Enel gathered his remaining priests. From his throne, he calmly listened to the chaos happening across the Upper Yard.
Using his Mantra, Enel already knew that the Shandians were fighting to reclaim their land, while the people from the Blue Sea — Monkey D. Luffy, his crew, and Sonic — were searching the island for gold.
With a cold smile, Enel gave a simple order.
He allowed his priests to eliminate everyone involved: the Shandians and the intruders from the Blue Sea.
This command turned the Upper Yard into a battlefield, setting the stage for a major conflict across the island.Screen 4
Usopp, Sanji, Nami, Sonic, and the Sky Knight traveled together along the Milky Road through the sky forest.
During the journey, the Sky Knight, Gan Fall, revealed an important secret.
He explained that he was once the God of Skypiea before Enel took control of the island.
Gan Fall also told them about the history of the Upper Yard. Long ago, a part of Jaya was blasted into the sky by a massive ocean current. That land later became the sacred Upper Yard, which both the people of Skypiea and the Shandians now fight over.
Sonic listened carefully to the story while looking around the jungle.
"So this whole war started because a piece of land fell from the sea," Sonic said thoughtfully.Screen 5
While traveling through the Upper Yard, the crew suddenly saw a flash of lightning strike near the Going Merry.
In an instant, Enel appeared on the ship, calmly standing on the deck.
He unleashed a powerful lightning attack that struck Sanji and Usopp, overwhelming them with his electric power.
Enel then mocked Gan Fall, showing how easily he could control the battlefield with his lightning abilities.
Sonic watched the scene from a short distance away, his expression turning serious as he saw the destructive power of Enel's attack.
"That lightning… so that's the god of this place," Sonic said quietly.Screen 6
After demonstrating his power, Enel disappeared in a flash of lightning, leaving the area silent again.
Sonic watched the sky for a moment but decided not to chase him.
"Not worth running after lightning right now," Sonic said calmly.
A few minutes later, two new figures suddenly appeared near the Going Merry.
They were Hotori and Kotori, the brothers of Satori, and they had come to take revenge for their defeated brother.
Seeing them arrive, Sonic stepped forward and cracked his knuckles slightly.
"Alright," Sonic said with a small grin.
"Looks like we've got new enemies."
