Jay's pov
When we walked downstairs, everyone was already sitting at the dining table.
Tita smiled warmly when she saw us.
"Good morning."
"Good morning," I replied.
Keifer greeted them politely and placed my suitcase near the door.
We all sat down for breakfast.
Keifer surprisingly blended in easily, casually talking with everyone.
But I wasn't really listening.
My mind was somewhere else.
A heavy feeling slowly settled in my chest.
I still haven't told him.
Keifer didn't know the truth about my real identity.
I had kept that secret from him all this time.
Guilt began creeping inside me.
Without realizing it, my expression became quiet and sad.
"Jay?"
I blinked.
Keifer was looking at me with concern.
"Are you okay?"
"Oh— yes," I quickly replied. "I'm fine."
He looked unconvinced but didn't push further.
Soon breakfast ended and it was time to leave.
Excitement returned.
I hugged Tita first.
"Take care of yourself," she said warmly.
Then I hugged Kuya Angelo.
"Visit at least twice a week," he told me.
"And remember, this will always be your home."
My eyes softened.
"I will."
Then came my annoying horoscope brother.
Aries crossed his arms and grinned.
"Bye annoying sister. Finally the house will have some peace."
Tita immediately nudged him.
"Aries!"
I crossed my arms.
"Oh really? You just want me gone so you can call your girlfriend over."
Everyone laughed.
Aries looked offended.
"That's not true!"
"Sure it isn't."
He rolled his eyes but then hugged me.
"Take care."
"You too."
Finally, I waved goodbye to everyone.
Keifer opened the car door for me.
And just like that…
We drove away.
