Mira returned to the office, but nothing felt normal anymore.
Her mind was still stuck in that café.
The moment their eyes met.
The strange familiarity in his expression.
She tried telling herself it was just coincidence.
Someone who simply looked similar.
But the more she thought about it, the less convincing that explanation felt.
Because the resemblance wasn't just similar.
It was exact.
She sat at her desk staring at her computer screen.
But the words on the screen blurred together.
Her thoughts kept returning to the same question.
"Did he recognize me too?"
The idea sounded impossible.
Yet the way he had looked at her for that brief moment…
It felt like he had paused for a reason.
The rest of the day passed slowly.
Mira finished her tasks automatically without really thinking.
Her mind was somewhere else entirely.
By the time evening arrived, she felt exhausted.
Not physically.
Mentally.
When she reached home, she placed her bag on the table and sat down quietly.
The house was peaceful.
But her thoughts were anything but peaceful.
She replayed the café moment again.
His face.
His eyes.
The strange second of eye contact.
Mira rubbed her temples.
"This is getting out of control," she murmured.
First the dreams.
Then the ring detail.
Now someone who looked exactly like him appearing in real life.
Her logical brain tried to fight back.
"Coincidences happen," she said aloud.
But even as she said it…
She didn't fully believe it anymore.
After dinner, Mira stood near the window again.
The city lights glowed softly in the distance.
The same kind of lights she saw every night on the rooftop.
She crossed her arms thoughtfully.
"If that really was him…"
She stopped mid-sentence.
The idea felt too unbelievable to complete.
Later that night, Mira lay down on her bed.
Her heart felt strangely nervous.
For the first time, she wasn't sure what she wanted to happen.
Part of her hoped the rooftop wouldn't appear.
Because she didn't know how to explain what happened at the café.
But another part of her desperately wanted answers.
Eventually, sleep took over.
And once again…
Mira opened her eyes on the rooftop.
The cool wind greeted her like an old friend.
The city lights stretched endlessly across the horizon.
But tonight she didn't admire the view.
She immediately turned around.
He was already there.
Standing near the railing.
Watching her.
But tonight his expression looked more serious than usual.
"You look surprised," he said calmly.
Mira blinked.
"You're here already."
"You usually arrive a little later."
She walked toward him slowly.
"You're acting strange tonight."
"So are you."
Mira took a deep breath.
"Something happened today."
"I know."
Her heart skipped.
"You… know?"
He nodded slightly.
Mira stared at him.
Her brain was trying to catch up with what he had just said.
"How could you know?"
He looked toward the city lights for a moment.
Then back at her.
"Because I saw you too."
The words hit her like lightning.
Her eyes widened immediately.
"…What?"
"I saw you today."
"At the café."
For a moment, Mira couldn't breathe.
Her heart started beating rapidly.
"You're joking."
"I'm not."
"You're telling me you were actually there?"
"Yes."
Mira stepped back slightly.
Her mind felt completely overwhelmed now.
"That doesn't make sense."
"It doesn't have to."
"You were just someone who looked like him."
"That's what you thought."
She shook her head quickly.
"No."
"This isn't possible."
He watched her calmly.
"You were standing near the counter."
Mira froze.
"You ordered tea."
Her heart stopped for a moment.
"And you kept glancing toward the window table," he continued.
Mira stared at him in shock.
"How do you know that?"
He gave a small smile.
"Because I was sitting there."
The rooftop suddenly felt smaller.
More intense.
The wind brushed across them quietly.
But Mira barely noticed it.
Her brain was trying to process everything.
"You're saying…" she whispered slowly,
"…the person I saw today…"
"Yes."
"That was you."
Silence filled the rooftop.
For the first time since these dreams started…
The boundary between dream and reality felt completely broken.
Mira ran her hand through her hair nervously.
"This can't be happening."
"Why not?"
"Because people don't meet in dreams and then in real life."
"Maybe we just did."
Her heart was racing now.
A hundred questions filled her mind at once.
"How did this start?"
"Why us?"
"What does it mean?"
But before she could ask any of them…
The rooftop lights flickered again.
"No!" Mira said in frustration.
The dream was already fading.
She pointed at him quickly.
"You're explaining everything next time."
He nodded calmly.
"I will."
Before the rooftop disappeared completely, he added one more sentence.
"One step at a time."
Then everything vanished.
Mira woke up suddenly in her bed.
Her heart was beating faster than ever.
She sat up and stared at the wall in silence.
Because now one thing was clear.
The man from her dreams wasn't just imagination.
He existed.
Somewhere in the real world.
And somehow…
They were meeting in both places.
