Orion stood over the empty void that would soon become his world, taking a moment to take it all in.
He drew a deep breath and then opened the creatures menu in the system.
Thousands of options appeared before him: massive beasts, intelligent beings, and all sorts of monsters.
Their prices were staggering. Some legendary or highly intelligent creatures cost hundreds to thousands of Divine Energy.
Less intelligent ones were tens of thousands.
Primitive humans? Only 0.2 Divine Energy per individual.
Orion chuckled lightly. Humans were the cheapest, and his previous life's familiarity with them would help him guide them later.
He decided to start with five primitive humans.
In an instant, they appeared on the planet's surface.
They began wandering the land, gathering fruits and exploring their surroundings.
Orion watched quietly from above, noticing one trying to kick a rock as if it were a sword, while another stared at the sky, seemingly pondering the stars.
"Hmm… looks like some of them might need a very basic guide for using their hands," Orion muttered, a faint smirk on his face.
Days passed, and Orion observed every move and behavior, enjoying the simple adaptation and early cooperation between the humans, all while struggling not to laugh at their clumsy attempts at collecting fruits.
Suddenly, a system notification appeared:
[Mission completed: Released your first creature.]
[Reward: +1 Divine Energy]
His Divine Energy rose to 1.
Curious, Orion noticed that the abilities slot hadn't unlocked yet. He asked quietly:
"Why haven't my abilities unlocked?"
The system responded enigmatically:
[You must discover it for yourself.]
Orion scowled and muttered a few choice words at the system in his mind.
He looked back at the five humans, noticing the differences among them—their curiosity, the way they interacted with the environment, their simple movements.
Orion smiled, his eyes sparkling with admiration for the creatures he had brought into existence. For the first time, he felt the full weight of responsibility mixed with excitement and awe, while a subtle, amused smile lingered as he watched their primitive antics.
