Orion felt a deep loneliness, a feeling he had never known in his previous life. Back then, he could see people, hear their voices, even exchange a few passing words with them. But here… there was nothing but emptiness.
He looked around silently.
All he could see was the endless darkness of space, with distant stars scattered like cold points of light. No sounds. No movement. Just a vast silence surrounding him from every direction.
Orion sat for a moment, staring into the enormous void, as if trying to grow used to his existence within it.
After a while, he finally broke the silence and asked the system in a calm voice:
"Can I… return to my world?"
Silence lingered for a few seconds.
Then the system's message appeared before him.
[You must reach a certain level of power to travel between universes.]
Orion stared at the words for a moment before a faint smile appeared on his face.
It wasn't exactly a direct answer… but it was enough.
As long as it was possible, there was hope.
Maybe one day, he would see his family again… and perhaps his only friend, Hiram.
He sighed softly before turning his gaze back to the planet he had created.
Years passed quickly without him even noticing. Time no longer meant much to him. With his near-divine authority, time itself had little effect on him—no exhaustion, no aging, not even a real sense of its passage.
Most of his time was spent simply… observing.
Watching the primitive humans he had created as they wandered through forests and plains, trying to understand the world around them in their own simple ways.
One of them tried climbing a tree to grab a fruit… but slipped and fell to the ground, making Orion raise an eyebrow.
"Well… evolution might take a while."
But after some time, something else caught his attention.
A primitive man sat on the ground holding two small stones. He began striking them together with clear concentration.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
Nothing happened at first.
Yet the man did not stop.
Orion watched silently, already understanding what the human was trying to do.
"Oh…"
"Is he really about to discover it?"
The seconds passed slowly.
Then suddenly—
A small spark appeared.
It fell onto a pile of dry straw nearby. A moment later, thin trails of smoke began to rise.
Then the fire ignited.
A small flame started dancing across the straw.
At that exact moment, a system notification appeared.
[One of your creatures has discovered fire.]
[Reward: +10 Divine Power]
Orion's smile widened.
"Not bad…"
Ten Divine Power.
That was enough to purchase something new.
He quickly opened the shop interface and began browsing through the available options.
After a brief moment of consideration, he stopped at one particular option.
One that immediately caught his interest.
