She said earlier that she came to Raccoon City by intuition, so it must have been her subconscious mind guiding her here to find her lost memories.
"So it was you. Alright, I apologize, I was a bit agitated just now. You seem a bit confused, and if I'm not mistaken, you must be in trouble. It just so happens that I'm not someone who likes to take advantage of others. You helped me, and I'll help you. How about we go somewhere else to talk?" Eddie nodded.
"Okay, I'll listen to you. I can sense that you're not a bad person." Suzuki Yoko nodded. She chose to trust him, and also to trust her own intuition.
To avoid being followed, Eddie's sixth sense had improved significantly, and he knew someone was watching him. He turned left and right, accelerated to escape, and simultaneously avoided surveillance cameras, disappearing shortly after.
A man in black ran out from a hidden spot. He was the observer monitoring Eddie. He had finally found his target, only to lose him again, which infuriated him.
The two walked on, eventually arriving at a circus zoo. This was a touring circus that had recently arrived, intending to do a short business run in the bustling prosperity of Raccoon City, earn some money, and then move on to other cities.
Eddie knew that this circus would likely make a fortune, so much so that the circus owner decided to stay in Raccoon City for a while, only to run into the outbreak of the crisis, losing everything!
Suzuki Yoko just quietly followed. Finally, the two arrived at a rather secluded private room in a circus coffee shop, designed for couples to chat and whisper sweet nothings.
"Alright, it should be safe here. Your name is Suzuki Yoko, you're a computer expert, and also a former senior researcher at Umbrella. You've forgotten your past due to some incident. Based on my thoughts and Umbrella's methods, they must have done something to you and then exiled you," Eddie said straightforwardly.
"Did what?" Suzuki Yoko asked calmly, even countering with a question.
"It should be something like memory wiping, otherwise, what do you think they could have done?" Eddie asked back.
"Oh, so that's how it is." Suzuki Yoko's expression was very calm, appearing somewhat timid. To learn the truth and still be so composed, it was unclear if her neural response was slow or if it was her nature.
Eddie was also very curious. Couldn't she show some reaction? Why was she so expressionless? No wonder she was hailed as the most suitable teammate, obedient and compliant, and also a mobile warehouse!
Suzuki Yoko thought for a moment, then took out a bottle of medicine from her backpack and handed it over. "I trust you. This is a type of nutrient I made before. The problem you just mentioned can actually be treated with some calming and nourishing medicines, but it takes time; it's a rather slow process, but quite effective."
"Derived from traditional Chinese medicine methods?" Eddie raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, traditional Chinese medicine often cannot be explained by science, but it is indeed very useful. You also look like an East Asian, perhaps it's a heritage from your homeland," Suzuki Yoko suddenly smiled.
"That's right, my name is Eddie Cai. I have East Asian ancestry; my father is East Asian. Strictly speaking, we could even be considered neighbors separated by a body of water! Alright, thank you for your suggestion. You're responsible for helping me solve my problem, and I'm responsible for helping you retrieve your memories. What do you think?" Eddie asked.
Suzuki Yoko nodded and extended her hand, "Okay, pleasant cooperation."
Eddie also reached out and shook her hand, "Pleasant cooperation. Coffee in place of wine, I toast you!"
"Thank you. Here's my phone number. You can notify me anytime if you have any news. If you have any questions, you can also call me or ask me. I'm always at the university." Suzuki Yoko exchanged phone numbers. It seemed she had found a lead, and even her smiles became more frequent.
Next to the coffee shop's private room, there was another private room. Inside sat a woman wearing stylish sunglasses that covered most of her face, a brown overcoat, and a tight-fitting, bright red cheongsam battle suit.
With her iconic black bob, confident aura, and ten-centimeter high heels, it was the highly anticipated goddess spy, Ada!
Ada, sitting nearby, had a strange expression. She never imagined that she would just arrive, planning to find a place to stay and have a coffee to clear her thoughts, and yet stumble upon such classified matters. This voice seemed to belong to Eddie Cai, the research director recently appointed within Umbrella. In a sense, they were even fellow countrymen!
Countrymen meet countrymen, and then shoot each other in the back!
"How interesting. Now the targets have suddenly increased, making it a bit difficult to choose. It's truly annoying," Ada curved a charming smile, then thought indifferently, "This is fine too, cast a wide net and focus on the important catches. It's a pity about the disposable tool, John, dying so quickly, breaking my first unfinished mission record."
After parting ways with Suzuki Yoko, Eddie still didn't know that Ada had overheard his words. If he had known, he would have controlled Ada immediately!
Since attacking Annette, the bloodthirsty violence seemed to have significantly subsided. He took out Suzuki Yoko's medicine, poured out two pills, and took them. There was no discomfort; instead, he felt a sense of peace of mind, and he was no longer so anxious.
It seemed this defect could be treated not only physically but also mentally.
He arrived outside Jill's apartment, just in time to meet Jill returning from training. It was already ten o'clock at night.
Jill had grown accustomed to her boyfriend living with her. Since he was her boyfriend, the request to live together was not at all excessive. The main reason was that Jill didn't object; otherwise, he might have had his legs broken!
Outside the apartment, Ada, who had followed him, hadn't noticed the house number yet and quickly pulled out her phone, looking down to play with it. Her gaze caught a dazzling short-haired woman sitting on a park bench not far away. Out of a woman's intuition, Ada felt she might have encountered a colleague!

Chapter 19: Shameless Eddie!
Sienna, a scout from Echo Team, had arrived early to reconnoiter for the arrival of Umbrella's senior research director, William. Echo Six Team was very covert and highly capable in combat, not inferior to Umbrella's specialized mobile response units.
Ada knew that the woman touching up her makeup was definitely also a spy, but she didn't know which organization she belonged to.
She found this trip to Raccoon City increasingly interesting. A small Raccoon City held so many secrets, and that man she was tracking—her intuition told her that she could unearth some very good commercial intelligence from him.
Early the next morning, Eddie arrived at the laboratory. As he reached the building, a white-haired mercenary was already waiting there.
"Director Eddie, I am Nikolai Zinoviev, leader of the tactical unit. I am here on orders from Commander Sergei to invite you to the office building to discuss matters," Nikolai nodded.
"Then let's go," Eddie didn't think much of it and got straight into the car.
The journey was silent. Nikolai said nothing. To get information out of this guy, one needed cash. With money, anything could be achieved.
Sergei's office building was by the Doma River, near the Arklay Mountains. Almost all prime locations were occupied by Umbrella.
The very top of this thirty-story building was Sergei's office!
Upon entering the office, Sergei was playfully tossing a strange, crescent-shaped rotating blade in his hand. Behind him stood two men in pure white overcoats, over two meters tall, with peculiar devices encircling their eyes, one yellow and one blue. These were Umbrella's unique Tyrant series, Ivan-type Tyrants, known for high combat power, high loyalty, strong execution, and the ability to use weapons and tactical coordination.
They were extremely expensive to produce, similar to the Nemesis researched by the French Branch. Both had Alpha Parasites implanted to enhance their intelligence, ensuring these Tyrants could execute commands given through chips.
"Nikolai, you may leave first. Eddie Cai, you've been in the underground laboratory for so long, what have you found?" Sergei rotated the blade, exuding an aura of killing intent.
"Did Uncle Spencer put you in charge of this matter? Uncle Sergei, I respect you, but company matters, I cannot casually disclose," Eddie began to leverage his connections and build rapport. He wouldn't be as foolish as Wesker; a tough attitude certainly made one manly, but it also attracted unnecessary trouble.
Sergei's expression remained unchanged, but his tone wasn't overly condescending, "The Chairman has already handed this matter to me. You can tell me."
That old man Spencer didn't show up! Did he go to do something, or to save his life? To live over a hundred years with the help of technology was quite something.
"I couldn't find anything. I've been learning from Dr. William's wife in the laboratory. Dr. William hasn't met me, so I don't know what stage his research has reached," Eddie said truthfully.
"Your abilities are truly subpar!" Sergei reprimanded him unceremoniously.
"You can't say that. I'm a researcher. You expect me to engage in espionage? That's asking too much. You should find professionals for that," Eddie argued.
Sergei's eyes flickered a few times, as if making a decision. If all else failed, he would have to dispatch the most elite special operations unit to retrieve the samples. "You have a point. You seem quite fond of Raccoon City's S.T.A.R.S.. Would you like to go in and experience it?"
"Me?" Eddie pointed at his nose, "I think I'll pass. I haven't been trained in how to use firearms."
"Young people should exercise more. Just go, I'll arrange for you to get in. But you need to pay attention to one person, and monitor his every move: Wesker, the captain of the S.T.A.R.S.!" Sergei revealed his true objective.
"Monitor him? You're really putting me in a difficult position. I'm a scientific researcher; I can't be a spy," Eddie waved his hand.
"Hmph, a man can't say he can't do it, unless you're not a man!" Sergei said playfully.
"I need time. I'm currently researching a serum that can be absorbed by humans. If successful, it can boost immunity," Eddie threw out a bargaining chip.
"What? Are you serious? Boost immunity? What other effects can it have besides that?" Sergei seemed somewhat excited, not because he needed it, but because Spencer, whom he served, needed it. As an ordinary old man, Spencer now relied on nutrient solutions to prolong his life. If a way to extend life could be found, that would indeed be a great thing.
"Of course. But I need to make an exchange. My research findings can be handed over." Eddie, prepared, took out a disk and handed it over.
This disk contained a redacted version of the serum data, describing how to use the serum to enhance physical fitness. However, it did not mention the core method of using the body's own cells to cultivate suitable serum variants. Nevertheless, this information still had significant reference value.
