Chapter 35 - 35

Chapter 35

Eddie took out a small knife and directly made a cut. The wound healed at a visible rate. "I'm not joking, I'm serious!"

Seeing this, Ada's beautiful eyes flashed with a hint of surprise. This was a bit too exaggerated. "You used T-Virus? And you haven't been infected yet?"

"This is just one of the effects of T-Virus. It's originally used to enhance human body functions. It's not strange to have such a rapid recovery effect," Eddie said proudly.

"Alright, it's truly amazing. Be careful. I saw people from the Federation Military in Raccoon City earlier. They should be investigating Umbrella in some way. Don't be foolish and get caught up in it," Ada said with a frown.

"Thanks for your concern. I also know that there are military personnel investigating. You too, Tricell and the Simmons Family are not good people. It's best to be careful when dealing with them." Eddie returned the favor, and the two exchanged glances, both seeing the smile in each other's eyes.

"Do you remember the night I saved you in the Arklay Mountains?" Eddie smiled.

"What about that night?" Ada also smiled. She never thought she would be saved by the man in front of her.

"Before I saved you, I encountered military personnel. The most elite special operations team, the Echo Six Team! I met two of their members, and they were very difficult to deal with," Eddie revealed a piece of information.

"Sixth Echo?" Ada's beautiful eyes suddenly widened.

"You know the name of this team?" Eddie was very confused.

Ada pondered for a moment before nodding, "You might not know, but Umbrella cooperates with forces from various regions, and various forces have stakes in it. The condition is just profit sharing, no other involvement. The Echo Six Team might be here to retrieve some item, perhaps T-Virus!"

Ada was just guessing, but Eddie knew very well that the Echo Six Team was there to rendezvous with William Birkin. As the omnipresent Federation, it was impossible for them not to know about Umbrella's secret experiments, and there might even be collusion.

Since the potential of T-Virus was known, then the rumored G-Virus, which was superior to T-Virus, would definitely bring huge profits. When profits reached a certain level, turning against each other was very normal!

Chapter 55: Ada's Secret Past!

"By the way, do you sell this serum of yours?" Ada suddenly asked, her beautiful eyes gleaming, seemingly very interested in this body-enhancing substance.

"I don't sell this. I only use it for my own people. This is just a primary version, and there's still room for improvement and advancement. I don't have much data on hand, otherwise, I could do better!" Eddie shook his head.

"That's a pity. If you wanted to, you could definitely sell it for a good price!" Ada felt it was a bit of a shame.

Eddie looked at the beautiful and dignified Ada. This woman had always been mysterious. "Do you have something on them? Or do you need to rely on some of their things to prolong your life?"

Ada flinched slightly, a hint of hatred flashing in her beautiful eyes. "That's none of your business."

"Aren't we friends? We should help each other. I'm also very knowledgeable in medicine. If you trust me, I can help you." Eddie knew he had guessed correctly. The mysterious Ada definitely had some unknown secret.

Ada suddenly stood up and looked at the scenery outside the window. "The sunset is beautiful, isn't it? But it sets very quickly. You don't need to try to befriend me. Befriending someone who is about to die is useless."

What was the reason Ada didn't want to reveal her situation? As a spy, she had to control her emotions.

"You might not know the terrifying aspects of T-Virus. The first-generation director of Umbrella's Executive Training Center, Marcus, was murdered by Spencer in collusion with Albert Wesker and William Birkin. This was ten years ago. Guess what happened now?" Eddie posed a question.

"What happened? How would I know?" Ada's mood was a bit low, as if she was thinking of something bad.

"Marcus resurrected! He resurrected under the effects of T-Virus! This is what I know, but the resurrected Marcus is not Marcus, but the Leech Queen he used for his experiments back then! The Leech Queen infected with T-Virus!" Eddie dropped a bombshell!

"What! How is that possible!" Ada was a little surprised. Such a resurrection from the dead sounded unbelievable.

"What's unbelievable about it? You also know that those infected animals were already dead before they became zombie-like bio-weapons. Essentially, they were all dead people! So T-Virus can do things you can't imagine. It's a treasure, and also a double-edged sword!"

"Used well, it can bring us immense power, rapid healing abilities, and a long lifespan, while also preserving youth! But used poorly, as we've seen, it can turn into a disaster!" Eddie said with a serious expression.

Ada hesitated, "Can you solve a unique poison? I need to take medicine made by Tricell to prolong my life. This poison has spread into my blood and is very difficult to cure."

Is this why Ada worked for Tricell?

"Okay, since you've said it, as a friend, I will definitely help you with treatment. Nothing is untreatable, anything is possible, let me help you!" Eddie's heart rejoiced. Well, it seemed this was Ada's weakness.

As for why Ada didn't ask Simmons to solve this problem but said it here, Eddie wouldn't pursue it. That Derek Simmons was definitely not a good person, obsessed with Ada to a terrifying degree. What an old, greasy uncle!

The two came to the laboratory, and Ada quietly cooperated, having her blood drawn for tests and her body examined with instruments.

Eddie frowned as he looked at the test report. "You have a chronic poison in your blood that gradually erodes your internal organs, leading to organ failure. It seems that each antidote forcibly disperses this poison, but doesn't eliminate it. The poison continues to remain in the blood, and once it develops antibodies to the antidote, it will be very difficult to remove."

Bang! Ada slammed the table forcefully. "Those beasts, to control us with such despicable methods!"

"Also, you have a lot of hidden injuries, which seem to have been left from previous missions. These hidden injuries are very fatal. They can be suppressed when you're young, but once you get older, or if your immunity is low and you suffer a serious injury, they will all erupt, and people will die!" Eddie added, not talking nonsense.

Ada didn't look at the report, but looked at Eddie with her bright eyes. "Eddie, can you save me?"

Her tone was calm, with a hint of hope, and also a hint of indifference. If it works, great; if not, there's no need to be discouraged.

"Of course, we're friends, aren't we? I will definitely save you. I need a little time. If you have any medical data from Tricell Pharmaceutical, feel free to show it to me, it might help me," Eddie nodded, and began to formulate a medical plan based on Ada's condition.

"This disk contains the medical data I've collected, you can look at it." Ada handed over a disk.

"Okay, you can rest for a while, it won't be that quick." Eddie took the disk, opened it on the computer, and began to browse quickly.

This was an opportunity. If he couldn't cure Ada, future cooperation would likely be very difficult. Even if there was cooperation, it would be superficial. Just like the cooperation between Wesker and Ada, where they always had to guard against each other. If not friends, then enemies!

Looking at Eddie, who was focused on researching the treatment plan, Ada felt a feeling she didn't want to face. Is this what a friend is? A friend who can help each other? Spies don't need friends, but this person is really suitable to be a friend!

"Eddie! I hope you don't disappoint me." Ada thought faintly to herself. Frankly speaking, he was truly suitable to be a friend.

Eddie began to study Ada's blood. Unlike ordinary people's blood, Ada's blood had a dark red color, and there seemed to be a black line inside.

This seemed to be the toxin, almost ubiquitous, spreading throughout the blood. And blood is the most important part of the human body; every organ and every cell needs blood circulation to provide sufficient nutrients.

Once there are toxins in the blood, the harm to the human body is enormous. Mild cases involve gradual aging and weakness, while severe cases may affect fertility. The most serious cases would definitely lead to meeting God.

"What kind of toxin is this? What a terrifying method. Is Tricell all this perverted?" Eddie frowned. No wonder Ada had such great resentment towards Tricell; no one would be in a good mood after being poisoned.

Using a microscope, he extracted the toxins from the blood and began to analyze them. He added a tiny amount of T-Virus and observed.

After a few minutes of reaction, the T-Virus solution began to engulf these toxins, taking almost only a few minutes.

After further observation, Eddie found that the T-Virus showed no changes, only a slight increase in quantity. It seemed that the serum also had a significant effect on detoxification. However, the quantity of the serum would increase due to engulfing the virus, which seemed to be a characteristic that should be noted!

Chapter 56: Curing Ada!

For two consecutive days, Eddie didn't rest, watching the data from Tricell Pharmaceutical. He already knew what the poison was; those poisons should be extracted from some plant in West Africa.

Tricell relied entirely on survey books passed down from the last century for its extensive knowledge of West Africa.

He rubbed his eyes, feeling a bit tired, but fortunately, there were no major obstacles, and his spirits were still good. The recovery effect of T-Virus was very obvious, and its duration was much longer than that of ordinary people.
