Krisha immediately asked, "Master Shen didn't give me a chance to ask a question for tomorrow. We will have to leave for tomorrow to register ourselves in the Beast Tamer Association. Is that considered as "absolutely necessary"?"
Arlo was dumbfounded. Krisha's tone changed in the last two words, seemingly reminding him of Master Shen.
He was in a daze for a while before nodding. "Of course, it is. It's fine to miss a class tomorrow."
Krisha shook her head and did not bother replying.
She and Felix's training was completely independent from the dojo. They didn't need to attend the lessons of the instructors.
The Beast Sync Arena might have caught their interest, where the Instructor of Beast Synchronization taught, but Krisha's beast pet was still a chick, so it didn't really matter for now.
For the next two weeks, Krisha would be practicing Felix's sword techniques.
Felix was also aware about it, but he didn't bother explaining.
Arlo asked, "Any more questions?"
Felix and Krisha pondered for a while. Arlo recalled something and clapped his hands to gain their attention.
"If you plan to attend a class, phones are forbidden. In fact, all disciples' phones are confiscated and they can only use them on Sundays. However, since you are still a student, then you can use your phone, except on the occasion where Master Shen and instructors are present."
"Shouldn't your phones be confiscated during job hours, too? Watching Apex Live at that." Krisha snorted.
Arlo coughed and suddenly faced his back against them.
He said, "You should follow me now, I'll lead you to your room."
Without waiting for their response, he opened the store and locked them once Krisha and Felix had exited.
The outer disciple earlier had already left when they were paying, so they missed a chance to get to know him.
After all, he was quite polite, but felt a bit depressed.
…
Arlo led Krisha and Felix to the upper floors of the Residential Wings. The upper floor was more luxurious and cozy compared to the lower floor.
Arlo didn't hesitate to introduce them to the living room, which was also filled with book shelves. There were places that one could study and a place where a group could gather and discuss.
There was also a canteen, but it seemed more like a cafeteria. The cafeteria was usually a comprehensive dining service compared to a small, functional canteen.
Arlo told them that the cafeteria in the upper floor has a chef, while the canteen below was self-service, even in cooking.
He then teased them that the outer disciple would make their life difficult, especially to Felix, since they easily obtained a room in the upper floor compared to them, who had to work hard.
As Arlo led them to their private room, he said:
"Thankfully, the room that was reserved for you two came from a graduate. If it was a room from an inner disciple who got demoted because of your presence, your life would be even more difficult.
After all, most of the inner disciple, from top seven until below at least, were at the Commander Rank.
Those top seven until top fifteen were not far from ascending to Commander rank, too.
Still, you can't expel the idea of suffering from discrimination here, especially you, boy."
Arlo led them to room six and turned towards Krisha, handing the keys to her.
He said, "The lower the room number, the higher the quality of the room inside. So, here you go, Top 6, in a sense. Also, you, boy, are in the Top 7."
He handed the keys to them as though he was rewarding them.
He said, "Although your room came from the graduates, you still have stolen the rights of the Top 14 and 15 simultaneously from getting a private room. Furthermore, the supposed Top 6 and 7 who should have your room must also be extremely displeased at you two."
Arlo gave them a meaningful smile.
Krisha rolled her eyes. "Why won't we just receive the Top 14 and 15 rooms? We don't even mind."
"It's because of your maid. Even when we reminded her about that, she still chose Room 6. Is 6 your favorite number?"
"No," Krisha instantly replied.
Seeing her still acting displeased at him, Arlo knew he couldn't do anything to change her impression of him.
Hence, he inwardly felt defeated and bid farewell to them. "If you have any more questions… I don't know. Just follow the page of the Azure Cleave Dojo and ask your question there. We also have group chat, but it doesn't matter since you two are just students here for two months—"
"Enough chitchat. Leave us alone."
"Noted." Arlo nodded and didn't hesitate to walk past them and disappeared from their sights.
Krisha glared at his back as Felix stared at her, saying, "Well, I can understand why you are so displeased at him.
But, anyway, I have something to tell you about the sword techniques I'm about to impart."
Krisha narrowed her eyes at him and said, "Let me put down this stuff first, I'll go to your room later.
Twenty minutes. You only have twenty minutes to settle everything there before I go."
Felix nodded. "Alright."
He pushed the key on the door knob and entered his room.
…
For the next twenty minutes, Felix arranged his room. Thankfully, there was already furniture where he could place his things easily.
Furthermore, there was a personal weapon rack, writing desk for self-reflection logs, and a low meditation platform.
The low meditation platform was supposedly for meditation, but Felix briefly inspected it and to his joy, he could use it for exercise, too.
Then, there was the personal weapon rack, which consisted of wooden swords with different sizes from hilt until the tip to suit the owner's preference.
Felix wasn't able to grab a chance to test the wooden swords since he only had twenty minutes left before Krisha would arrive.
Once he finished and noticed through his watch that there was only a minute left, he wiped the sweat off his face with his hands.
Thankfully, the room was air–conditioned.
As Felix turned towards the door and was about to change his clothes, he was suddenly dumbfounded after a realization struck him.
Isn't this the first time that a girl comes into my room?
