Felix meditated until it was 6pm. He was startled awake by the ring of the bell. He frowned and instantly realized that dinner must be ready to serve after his stomach growled.
However, Felix waited for a while until he heard a knock on his door.
He was a second longer than before, so it was not surprising he heard Krisha's complaint.
"So late!"
Felix shrugged. "Just how impatient are you?"
Krisha giggled and said, "Let's go eat dinner now."
Felix nodded, following Krisha who took the lead.
When they arrived in the cafeteria, there were already seven inner disciples wearing blue navy uniforms sitting on the table, eating.
Surprisingly, those who served the foods to the inner disciples, as the latter had to line up for it, were outer disciples.
They couldn't hide their eyes staring intently at the foods, as though wanting to devour them.
However, when they saw two inner disciples appearing, they instantly straightened their backs and beamed a smile at them, gesturing to get the plates and fork to line up for them.
Krisha walked towards them and asked for a light meal. Felix, on the other hand, had his plates full of dishes.
When they sat down alone on a single table, they soon realized that the inner disciples gazed at them and didn't even bother hiding their hostility directed at Felix.
Krisha noticed but didn't bother to argue with them. She simply glanced at Felix, who was quiet, staring at his plate, and yet it was obvious from his eyes that he was simply trying to hide the uncomfortable feeling.
She said, "You asked it yourself. Isaac must have already spread the news of your arrogance."
Felix grabbed his spoon and fork and began slicing the meat.
They ate for a while in long silence until he finished first than Krisha.
He gazed at her and raised two fingers. "Two months. Give me two months, I'll defeat them all."
Krisha froze. She was dumbfounded.
Not only Felix boldly declared it to her, but surely, the other inner disciples must have heard of what he said.
As expected, she noticed the other inner disciples glared at Felix.
Among them, one with sharp eyebrows, walked towards Felix and stopped beside him.
"Get the Top 1 from me, then. I'll wait for you in two months. Don't think you can back away from this."
Without waiting for Felix's response, he turned around and left.
The outer disciples were dumbfounded. One by one, the inner disciples went towards Felix and expressed their desire to challenge him after two months.
And thus, began the rise of Felix's reputation among the disciples in the Azure Cleave Dojo.
…
Krisha stared at Felix with a dumbfounded expression. She gazed intently at Felix and noticed how his arms were trembling and his eyes seemed to be lost.
She asked, awakening him from his stupor, "Why did you do that?!" Her tone raised for a bit.
Felix dazed at her and finally realized he seemed to be at a loss.
With a straight face, he replied, "To challenge myself. I feel like I can do it."
"You feel like?"
"No. I can do it," said Felix in a firm tone.
Krisha sighed and leaned her forehead on her palm. "I admire your resolve, but shouldn't you have done that quietly?
Do you really also believe that you can defeat them? A Commander Rank? Just based on the energy of the Top 1 alone seemed to be at Commander Rank 6.
Commander Rank 6! Felix. Do you even think you can reach Commander Rank in the span of two months?
Not even my father had done that."
Felix was quite stunned. He didn't expect that the mayor was unable to ascend to Commander rank in the span of two months.
He asked the Guide, "Do you really think I can reach Commander rank in two months? Not even the Beast Tamer King can do it."
[The Beast Tamer King is the Beast Tamer King. You are you. Don't compare yourself. Have you forgotten you summon a legendary rank sword at its peak?
You should also take this chance to improve your strength rapidly.]
Felix nodded. As much as he wanted to keep his bold confidence, it would waver often from skepticism and uncertainties.
He needed reassurance and the Guide was the most trusted people… existence he had.
Keeping the firm tone, he replied to Krisha, "The mayor is the mayor. Me is me. Don't worry, even if I won't, I'd just admit defeat… but, not easily."
Krisha was entirely speechless. Rubbing her glabella in distress, she said, "I don't know what to do with you. You're too bold. Too bold when you declared you'd keep the Top 1 back when we were at high school as I admit defeat."
Felix nodded. "That's what I'm trying to say. I just don't say something without keeping my words. Don't worry, I got it covered."
"Of course, you do. You don't have a choice."
Krisha sighed helplessly.
She glanced at her food and had already lost his appetite to finish them.
Felix noticed how she was disinterested in her food anymore, so he asked, "Do you want me to finish them for you? It'll be a waste not to eat it."
Krisha responded by transferring her dishes to Felix's empty plate, as the latter happily devoured them.
Watching him appearing to be careless made her feel at a loss of how to completely react from what had just happened.
She unknowingly gazed at the outer disciples, who wore an apron, in front of the dishes, as they were staring at them, or specifically at Felix.
When they sensed her gaze, they stared back at her.
They were awestruck of her beauty. Although they were already aware of her true identity and had admired her appearance through the phone, they were still in awe of her appearance up close.
She hadn't even put her light make up yet.
When Krisha gestured for them to come towards her, they didn't hesitate to move their legs, as though a dog was ready to serve their master.
