Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Didn't Expect That, I'm Registered

Gulp. Yori sat stiffly on the soft sofa, not daring to move a muscle.

She hadn't expected that this place didn't sell ready-made clothes at all, but was instead a place for custom clothing.

By now, her sister had already been pushed into a small room by a designer with eyes gleaming with excitement, while several other designers were gathered around Leticia.

"Miss, are you really not planning to make an outfit? The clothes here are the best quality in Central City, you know."

"Little sister, trust in our abilities. The clothes we make will definitely showcase your best features to the fullest."

"Little sister..."

Leticia pulled a long face, covered her ears, and shook her head desperately. "I already said it's not necessary! Can't you go bother that white-haired one inside instead?"

"Ahem, well, there's already someone in there right now, and we have to take turns, you know." One of the designers chuckled. "You and that lady are evenly matched; being able to see both of you at once is simply a stroke of luck."

"I don't have money, I can't afford your clothes!" Leticia declared that she was different from Melanie; she was just a pauper who couldn't even afford to splurge on microtransactions.

"If it's for you, Miss, making them for free isn't out of the question."

"Please allow me to refuse."

After an incredibly long back-and-forth, Leticia was finally liberated because Melanie walked out of the small room next door.

The group of designers swarmed away from Leticia and surrounded Melanie, chirping away, which made Leticia reveal a schadenfreude-filled smile.

Melanie, who had only been out of the room for a few seconds, was pushed right back inside. Judging by her bewildered expression, this girl really wasn't good at handling this kind of situation.

"Refreshing." Leticia resisted the urge to burst out laughing; that expression on Melanie's face just now was too funny.

"Miss Sukina, it's your turn now." But soon, Leticia's happiness ended. The designer who had just finished her intimate session with Melanie walked over to Leticia and spoke softly to her.

"What?"

"Malanie said she wanted to purchase a few outfits for you as well, with the requirement to highlight your cuteness as much as possible." The short-haired designer flashed Leticia a smile. "As it happens, this is my specialty."

"That's unnecessary, right? I feel like what I'm wearing now is already quite good." Leticia shook her head hastily.

That bastard Melanie, to think she'd trap her using a method like this.

"It's necessary, very necessary!" It wasn't the designer who spoke, but Yori, who had been sitting idly by the side. She jumped up from the sofa and grabbed Leticia's arm.

Struggling to pull Leticia up from her seat, Yori ignored Leticia's resistance and pushed her into the room on the other side.

Bang, click. The designer with the eerie smile locked the door from the inside.

"Geez, what is that Melanie thinking?" Leticia sighed.

When Yori pushed her just now, Leticia didn't put up much resistance. One reason was that she didn't want to make Yori unhappy.

The second reason was that she was actually interested in this designer.

"Now that it's just the two of us, you don't need to keep up the act, Spider Spirit." Amidst the designer's astonished gaze, Leticia exposed her identity in one sentence.

"How did you discover it?" The designer pushed up the glasses on the bridge of her nose and asked, somewhat puzzled. "My disguise should have been flawless."

"But there were still some clues. To me, and to her, it wasn't hard to spot." Leticia replied calmly. "Tell me, how many bad things have you done in the Human World?"

However, the Spider Spirit revealed an innocent, harmless smile. "I am a law-abiding citizen; I haven't done any bad things at all."

As she spoke, she even pulled a small black booklet from her pocket. "Here, a Permanent Residence Permit for Alien Races. I'm staying here legally."

Hiss... Leticia was dumbfounded. She really hadn't expected the Human World to have such a thing.

After all that, it turned out she was actually the one who wasn't legal?

"I love designing clothes for little girls. I designed all the school uniforms for girls in every elementary school in Central City." The Spider Spirit's eyes flashed with a fanatical light. "And you are the most perfect girl I have ever seen!"

"So, please allow me to make clothes for you!"

Wait... ah, this...

Leticia took a step back. From this woman, she caught a whiff of perversion.

Could this person be a lolicon?

"I am not a loli." Leticia stated that both her height and age were already beyond the definition of a loli.

"Not at all, not at all." The woman shook her head very seriously. "What I like are cute girls, and you, Miss Sukina, are the cutest girl I have ever seen."

Cute? Leticia was stunned.

Her? Cute?

What part of her body could possibly be associated with being cute?

With so many eyes, isn't the spider blind or something?

"Ahem, I just need to take a quick visual measurement, please stand still." The Spider Spirit coughed twice, suppressing her somewhat bizarre expression. "It's free of charge, just consider it a gift from me.''
