"The taste is quite good, but it doesn't justify this slightly ridiculous price." Elegantly swallowing the last piece of beef in her mouth, Leticia wiped her mouth and gave her assessment.
Yori had finished her own order long ago and was now watching in stunned silence as her sister kept stuffing food into her mouth.
"I told you she could finish it," Leticia said with a chuckle.
Melanie looked up and rolled her eyes at Leticia. Although she was quite grateful to this person for allowing her to swallow her pride and eat a full meal, Miss Sword Saint still refused to accept her mockery.
Seeing that her sister would still be eating for a while, a bored Yori rolled her eyes, turned to Leticia, and asked, "Was Quinn's relationship with my sister very good in the past?"
She was so curious about the story between her sister and Quinn.
"Good? It couldn't be considered good in any sense." Leticia shook her head. She and Melanie had only met once before, and that one time almost became their last.
"How should I put it? The relationship between her and me is pretty much like that of the protagonist and the villain in a superhero movie."
"Eh?"
"You must have seen that recent movie, 'Rainbow Squadron 5', right? I'm basically the Black Witch in that movie, and your sister is that Golden Warrior." Leticia used an analogy.
Yori suddenly realized. So that was the kind of relationship between her sister and Quinn. "I understand now."
She heard that the Black Witch and the Golden Warrior would cooperate in the next movie and even have a romantic subplot. Quinn must be implying something.
A romantic subplot, hehe.
Leticia was a bit dumbfounded. She didn't understand why Yori suddenly started giggling, but her intuition told her that Yori might have misunderstood.
"Anyway, my relationship with her is terrible; it wasn't good before, and it won't be good in the future." Leticia emphasized again.
"Mhm, mhm, I understand." Yori nodded seriously.
So Quinn is actually a tsundere. She keeps saying on the surface that her relationship with her sister is bad, but her words are all hinting that she likes her sister.
"I think you completely didn't understand." Leticia was completely certain that Yori had jumped to the wrong conclusion. "My relationship with her is very bad, got it?"
"Got it." Yori tilted her head and gave Leticia a cute smile.
I get it, I get it. She just doesn't want to lose face in front of her sister.
Sigh, to think one could still see such a classic tsundere character in this day and age. Yori felt she needed to help Quinn become a bit bolder.
tsunderes often end up as losers. Yori actually liked Quinn quite a bit. Having her become her sister-in-law sounded amazing, just thinking about it.
"Ah..." Leticia covered her face; this girl absolutely couldn't hear any explanations. "York Rose, has your sister been watching too many TV dramas?"
Melanie, who was called York Rose, had already wiped the grease off her hands with a tissue. Hearing Leticia's words, she looked up and glared at Leticia with her crimson eyes. "Regarding this matter, I think you need to take responsibility."
If it weren't for Leticia corrupting Yori, would her obedient and cute sister have turned into this?
"Don't you go spouting nonsense! How did I corrupt Leticia!" Leticia was unconvinced. Although she and Yori were partners in crime, she absolutely refused to accept the accusation of corrupting her.
Yori grew crooked on her own; what the hell did that have to do with Leticia?
"Your sister was like this to begin with. If we're talking about responsibility, isn't your responsibility clearly greater? You, the 'good sister' who leaves her elementary school-aged sister at home."
"Leticia is a good child, so, it was you who corrupted her." Melanie admitted that she wasn't a good sister, but she also believed that if it weren't for Leticia, that shut-in living downstairs, Yori would absolutely not have become like this.
"How am I corrupted!" The "corrupted" Yori raised her hand to speak, unconvinced.
"Don't interrupt when adults are talking."
"This is a matter between her and me."
Then she was forcefully suppressed by the two big shots.
The aggrieved Yori shrank into her chair and responded softly, "Oh."
Sister and Quinn are both so scary, boo-hoo~
In the time that followed, Melanie and Leticia engaged in a war of words regarding everything about Yori... well, it could probably be counted as a war of words.
The actual situation was that Melanie coldly tried to shift the blame for Yori's shortcomings onto Leticia, and then Leticia shifted the blame right back onto Melanie's head.
Due to the huge gap in their eloquence, Melanie had almost no ability to refute Leticia's blame-shifting.
In the end, Melanie discovered with some annoyance that she actually had to bear full responsibility for her sister's "corruption," while Leticia had managed to shift all the blame off herself completely.
As for Yori?
The teary-eyed little girl was currently sulking in isolation.
"So in Sister's heart, I'm a bad kid?"
"Not bad, not bad." Melanie only then realized what a stupid thing she had done; she had actually blurted out her inner thoughts in front of her sister.
"Bad sister!" Obviously, Yori was angry.
