After the day of Rei's rank match with Haru, the academy had already labelled him already as someone who was worthy to defeat someone from a powerful clan in which he had just discovered after Eunji briefly told him while explaining how their hierarchy works in the academy to both him and Sylvie.
"Jeez… way to ruin my first day impression…" Rei muttered to himself as he could hear people gossiping of his status as a god-tier that half of them were making a way for him as if he was some sort of royal.
"I hate this already." He said out loud to himself since he already had the fact that he's the vessel of the ancient being that's residing within him and now he's dealing with a hierarchy that's either focused on pure prowess or overall performance.
Nevertheless, it was something exhausting and infuriating since there was no point of staying in the background. "I just hope there's nothing else that could go wrong…" Rei uttered before entering the classroom, expecting for people to quiet down and avoid him since a god-tier has entered the room.

In truth to be told, he was wrong since there were at least two people who approached him. One was a female with blonde hair and scarlet red eyes while the other one was a male with black hair and light blue eyes.
"You're the new guy who fought with Haru right?" The black haired male asked while Rei nodded his head in response. "That's amazing. So, what's your prowess? You gotta be powerful to be able to beat him in a fair match."
Rei hesitated for a second since he felt a bit uncomfortable but he introduced himself first before answering the guy's question. "Rei Nishimura. Aura Manipulation." His answer seemed to make the two intrigued at his prowess.
"Sounds complex. What level is your prowess?" The female asked as Rei tried to give a solid answer since he was still in the process of trying to gauge the rankings and level system in Ethereal.
"I don't know what gauging system y'all have here but back in Hong Kong from where I last checked myself, I was 7.0 then now I would guess that I'm a 7.5." he answered which made the two amazed by the revelation of his prowess level.
"Holy shxt! Are you being for real?" The black haired male exclaimed which surprised Rei before nodding his head which made the duo in front of him even more amazed or somewhat interested in him.
Rei never felt embarrassed since the two individuals were constantly praising him for having such a powerful prowess since he was either the fourth or fifth in the academy to possess such an ability.
He thought to himself that maybe this academy would be a fresh start for him without worrying too much about his status as both vessel and god-tier since there were people that he could trust and depend on compared to when he was in Sir Ellis Kadoorie High while having no one to lean on to except for Sylvie.

The first two classes were somewhat alright with him as he was able to catch up with the lecture and easy classwork since Sylvie was able to teach him and tell him things about her first day. The first class was interesting to him since mana theory was similar to spiritual energy studies at his previous school which was the only thing that he could pay attention to due to the nature of his prowess that depended more on spiritual energy control and management.
The second class was history which put him back to his usual self to either get bored or doodle on his notebook although there were parts that intrigued him the most such as relics and important figures in the past of Ethereal. Rei knew the academy would be more different since it will be more focused on Ethereal rather than the world that he knew of.
"Can I ask you two something?" Rei asked the two individuals who were also in the same class as him. The duo were eager for his question before he asked them, "What are your names? I mean you two already know my name but I never got any of yours yet."
The duo were surprised before chuckling softly in order not to catch the professor's attention. "Forgot about that. Got too excited." The black haired male said before introducing himself, "I'm Haruki Nakamura and the one with me is Erika Delilah." Haruki said while Erika waved at him.
"I see… So, is there any social hierarchy here?" Rei asked since he wanted to grasp the social circle of the academy rather than only knowing it at the last second just like the one from the incident yesterday.
The duo started to explain things to him with how their rankings go. The only reason why most of the students were almost afraid of him is not because of the power difference but because he was an anomaly in contrast to their usual commoner, elites and nobles ranking. Typical poorest to richest type of ranking.
"I see… So I'm guessing that I'm an anomaly because I'm not from Ethereal." Rei said while Erika immediately interrupted him, "Nope. We basically would call you and that other new student an outsider or traveller depending on the clause of your reason for staying in Ethereal."
Her statement made him nod his head while taking note of such important information into his head so that he could tell Sylvie about it as well. "So, that means I'm a traveller." Rei said out loud as he recalled the events of why he was admitted to Kamigami Academy due to a certain incident that turned his life upside down.
"Brat. Can you shut the fxck up?"
Rei blinked twice as he tried to find where the voice was coming from since he had heard Haruki and Erika's voice who were confused with why he was looking around.
"I'm talking to you through our mental link. So, shut the fxck up cause you're noisy as fxck." The ancient being said with a venomous tone that sent shivers down Rei's spine.
Haruki broke the silence since they've been quiet for the past few minutes after the third class had finished with some intermediate algebra level. "Dude. You alright?" He asked while Rei got startled before responding back, "Yup. Totally fine."
Rei hoped that the two won't ask anymore questions since he was still busy trying to understand what was happening to both him and the ancient being since they were sharing the same body.
However, he knew who was stronger and at the top of the food chain so Rei had no choice but to try relaxing his mind in order for him not to disturb nor face the wrath of the ancient being residing within him.

"So, that's what happened yesterday." An orange brown hair girl said while leaning back at her seat, the entire classroom looked like a professional investigation team setting rather than an educational one. "Yeah. It's a hassle since Haru has been looking for a reason to reclaim his lost ego from last year's event. Now it got worse because of Rei due to the incident yesterday." Eunji said as she sighed before grabbing what seemed to be a document.
"I just hope that Headmaster Sho is thinking straight about putting him in our division all because of Rei's career on pursuing the path of a sorcerer." Eunji stated while the orange brown hair girl responded in a bored tone, "The headmaster always does this with a reason. So, let's keep on to that." She said while Eunji had no choice but to accept.
"I should probably head out since the gym and physical education instructor needed my help for the physical assessment test for Rei apparently…" Eunji said as the orange brown hair girl looked interested, "Can I tag along?" She asked while Eunji looked her dead in the eye as if she was disappointed at her.
"No. You haven't finished your report yet. Do that before you ask something." Eunji said with a cold tone while the orange brown hair girl sighed and rolled her eyes, completely annoyed at the situation. "Fine. I'll just go and do my paperwork." She said before leaving Eunji's desk and proceeding to go to her own table to do her own work.
Eunji left the room as she grabbed a couple of clothes and items for preparation for the physical education class. "I wonder if this test is something related to Rei or just a general help for the class…" she thought to herself as she made her way onto the destination in the campus.

Rei had changed into the PE uniform of Kamigami Academy as it barely changed except for the colour scheme and signature logo that differentiate everyone for the course they are taking.
The one on his clothes were a symbol for the assault division course which was a rare class from what he heard from Erika and Haruki since they were in the other sorcerer division course. "Jeez… I just wanted to be in the background but now I'm in the spotlight not just once but twice…" Rei thought to himself as he could feel every stare of his school mates and classmates.
Every moment he took a breath or a move, all eyes were confused on him due to his status as the new student who managed to lay hands with Haru and survive while having the bonus of being able to fight toe to toe along with winning the match.
"I should just focus on this physical assessment now…" Rei thought to himself as he saw the instructor and the supposedly PE teacher prepare some tests for him but what surprised him was Eunji helping them while preparing some papers.
"Rei Nishimura. You'll be allowed to observe your classmates to do the physical assessment first as you'll be the last one to do it in order to give you the advantage due to the nature of your prowess." She said as Rei nodded his head before watching his classmates do the physical assessment which was the same thing of the entrance exam while using their prowess to boost their scores.
