[3rd POV]
After the enjoyable date at the drive in theater, Billie had returned back to her apartment with Haley sleeping beside her in the car. The girl was absolutely exhausted after staying up for literally over thirty six hours. So it was only natural that she had passed out the second that she had the opportunity to.
Billie was glad to see that her girlfriend was getting some rest after staying up for so long. But she did feel bad when she was forced to wake her up when they had gotten to the apartment.
She would have carried her up to the apartment if she could, but that was a pretty long walk, and while she was physically able to lift quite a lot, carrying someone of Haley's size up that far was not really something that even she was able to accomplish.
Sadly enough.
Haley didn't seem to mind all that much. She mostly just grumbled a bit, clearly annoyed that she had been woken up from her comfortable sleep. But she got up in the end, understanding that her girlfriend was just trying to get her upstairs, where they could cuddle in a much much more comfortable space.
So, she held close to Billie with a yawn, as the girl led her to the elevator. Haley could barely walk straight with how tired that she was. So Billie had to hold her close to make sure she did not fall, as she led her into her apartment.
It took Haley like five seconds to get into some comfortable sleep wear, which was some pajama's that Billie had an extra pair of.
And now she was snoring, cuddling up into the warmth of Billie as the girl looked down at her girlfriend. Haley was adorable when she slept, and was quite warm too. She didn't mind the addition to her bed, to say the least.
They had cuddled plenty of times before, but not this late at night, and not after a date like this. It was a bit different, but not that much.
Watching her girlfriend sleep, Billie softly ran her hand through Haley's hair, as the girl leaned into the touch slightly. She had been watching her for a little while now, even if that can be considered creepy to some people.
She was just...thinking.
'I didn't even think Haley could do something like that. Staying up for thirty six hours, all out of her worry for me' Billie thought, staring down at her.
Haley was loving, kind, and an awesome girlfriend. But her being capable of staying up for over thirty five hours, around a day and a half straight, was insane. It made her realize just how much her girlfriend really loved her.
'I've gotta keep an eye on her more often, if she can worry this much about me, all over a song that I posted. Which sure, it was a song that was pretty emotional and tragic, but...staying up for thirty six hours is not healthy' Billie thought, knowing that it was bad for her.
Billie had never stayed up that long, and she was horribly bad at getting some proper sleep. It was literally a part of her daily schedule to get like a few hours of sleep at most.
But she didn't stay up for over a day straight without sleeping. The closest she had gotten was like 20 hours at most. 36 was an entirely different thing to her.
Billie wondered if something else was going on, beyond just the whole thing with her song. She wondered if Haley was dealing with something at school, or maybe by someone else.
She decided that she'd need to look into it, to make sure that her girlfriend was safe and happy, and that she was not dealing with any sort of paparazzi or anything like that.
And if she was dealing with something bad, then Billie would have to...get involved. And whoever was causing all this heartache for her girlfriend, would not enjoy their lives very much afterwards. Especially if this was paparazzi or some sort of harassment that was causing her all these issues.
She hoped it was nothing, but she had a feeling deep down that something was going on in the background.
She wasn't one to stalk her girlfriend, so she didn't even know up until this point. But now that she was seeing all these red flags, she'd need to look into it and intrude a bit.
Mostly for Haley's sake.
But also because she was truly worried for her girlfriend.
Besides her girlfriend, Billie was also contemplating some other things.
The primary one being the upcoming Christmas, and the Ellen show. She had thanksgiving before Christmas of course, which was coming up in a few days.
But Christmas was something that she herself was hosting. She had never really hosted a party or anything, so she was already prepping a few things for it. Mostly the tree and some rarer ingredients that she wanted to serve.
Like a top of the line turkey and a few other things. Mostly because she wanted to make it the best Christmas they had ever had, and on top of that, she personally wanted to try the dishes that she was going to have made.
She was splurging on herself, basically. But that splurging was also involving others in this case.
The Ellen show was the other major thing that she was thinking about. As she had received a few calls with them recently, and the major thing that they had asked was for her to sing one of her songs in the show itself. They were going to pay her even more if she did this.
So she was very tempted.
But, she didn't know what to sing. Which made her come to another idea.
Why not sing one of the songs from her next album, 21? There was a lot of songs she could do, and it would be a good way to give the public a taste of what her next album would look like. But there was also a lot of songs in 21 that would be fitting for the appearance.
It was hard to decide between three different ones.
Set Fire to the Rain, Someone like You, and Rolling in the Deep.
All three were absolutely giant songs, and were also her three favorites from the album. But deciding which one to go with was not exactly the easiest. Really it was more so between Fire to the rain and Rolling in the Deep.
But again, neither were easy to pick.
'Hmm...maybe instead of deciding this by myself, I can play it at Christmas and have the Dunphy's decide? I'm sure Cam and Mitchell would love it too' Billie thought, knowing the two were giant fans of her.
She had seen Mitchell drag Cam away a few times, stopping him from asking her for an autograph. Although if he had asked, she would have given it.
She was nice like that.
'I'll have to bring the idea up to Haley tomorrow too. Cause I'm sure she'll want to sing one of hers too' Billie thought, knowing her girlfriend would want to show off a bit too. Probably Chandelier, as she had been getting closer and closer to getting the hang of the song.
She was truly incredibly talented. More so than she tended to give herself credit for.
Looking back down at her girlfriend, Billie softly chuckled when she saw her clinging to her like a teddy bear.
Watching her sleep, Billie leaned down and softly pecked her forehead, as she decided to join her in the comfort of sleep, as she shut her eyes and leaned back, slowly but surely falling asleep.
All the while her girlfriend snored next to her.
