The portal's energy enveloped them, and the world around them began to fade away. The moonlit lake, once a serene and peaceful haven, now seemed to distort and blur, like a painting left out in the rain.
The trees surrounding the lake, like sentinels of the ancient world, stood frozen in time, their branches etched against the sky like skeletal fingers. However, Zaiveil's piercing scream rang out across the moonlit lake.
"A-aarghhhhhhh, damn it!" Zaiveil's body began to convulse, her limbs thrashing wildly as if she was being torn apart from the inside. A low, growling sound escaped her lips, but her face remained a mask of stone.
"W-wh-what's happening?" she asked, her voice flat and detached, stuttering a little.
Elder Cryzton's eyes widened in alarm, a look of regret and anxiety etched on his face. He had forgotten to warn Zaiveil about the cons of traversing the portal, his excitement and haste clouding his judgment.
"My princess, I apologize, I forgot to tell you that you need to face a hellish pain because the vessel or the body that you're currently using can't join us in this journey. Your real body is waiting for you there in Creignmeia." he explained, his voice laced with worry.
"My princess, you need to endure the pain of the Spirit Flesh Severance." Elder Cryzton added
Zaiveil's gaze remained fixed on some point in the distance, her eyes cold and unyielding. "T-this is nothing." she said, her voice devoid of emotion, but the silent growl that escaped her lips couldn't be hidden.
Elder Cryzton's face contorted in a mixture of guilt and concern. "I'm sorry, my princess. I can't do anything to ease your pain, your soul is breaking free from your current body. It's a necessary pain, because your spirit is the only thing that I can bring back to Creignmeia. If we take away something that belonged to this world, then we'll face a heavy consequence, it's against the rules of every world."
Zaiveil's body arched, her back bending at an impossible angle, but her face remained expressionless. Her eyes didn't even flicker. The only sign of strain was the faint trembling of her hands, and even that was barely perceptible.
The air around them seemed to thicken, heavy with the stench of ozone and the acritude of the separating spirit and flesh.
Zaiveil's body began to glow, a faint aura of light enveloping her form as her soul struggled to break free from its vessel. The sound of crackling energy filled the air, like the snapping of twigs beneath a careless foot.
"Focus, my princess." Elder Cryzton urged, his voice firm but laced with concern. "Focus on your soul, let go of that mortal body, let it go." his determine voice echoed in the whole surroundings.
The moon above seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy, casting an eerie glow over the scene. The trees surrounding the lake seemed to lean in, their branches like skeletal fingers reaching out to snatch Zaiveil's soul from the air.
As the portal's energy intensified, Zaiveil's body began to glow brighter, her form illuminated by the radiant light. The sound of crackling energy grew louder, like a wildfire consuming everything in its path.
And then, just as suddenly as it had started, everything went still. Zaiveil's body slumped, her form motionless and silent. A transparent spirit stood beside Elder Cryzton, it's Zaiveil spirit, her ethereal form shimmering with an otherworldly purplish light.
Elder Cryzton waved his hands, and the motionless body that Zaiveil had used for years levitated towards the nearest tree, its branches creaking softly as it sensed the body beside it.
The body slumped, its face frozen in a silent environment, its eyes staring blankly into the void, slowly closing.
The last thing Zaiveil's spirit saw was the moonlit lake, its surface calm and peaceful, reflecting the stars above before her entire vision faded.
As the portal enveloped the entire spirit of Zaiveil and Elder Cryzton, something unexpected occurred in the Moonlit Lake.

The body slumped on the ground, suddenly moved and slowly opened her eyes, the cold and emotionless black-purplish orbs that once gazed out at the world was now full of different emotions. A mix of anticipation, excitement, and curiosity danced in her gaze as she took in her new surroundings.
"Where am I?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, yet full of vibrancy and life.
[Welcome to Planet Gaia, my lady.]
Her eyes widened, her gaze darting around as she took in the unfamiliar landscape. The air was crisp and clean, filled with the scent of blooming flowers. She felt a rush of excitement and trepidation as she realized she was truly starting anew.
