One week has passed since Logan took of to the academy, and he can see the capital ahead.
The capital was separated into 4 districts,with the academies, dorms, and research center to the left, a shopping district in the middle with the entrance, and the residential area to the right.
(Im removing the ladies school and just making it like with the manners lessons, and Tess also had the same tutor as Logan)
There was also a noble area in the back, for influential merchants, government workers, as well as for the elite familes.
There was a mountain range in the back for mines, and the builders used that to their advantage, connecting the walls to the mountains, it was a safe haven for whenever wars happened, while also being efficient at the same time.
The examination for the knights school, took place in the huge building in between the soldier center, and the school.
(I'm also changing the school name to make it easier on me)
Inside there was a huge open area with different looking sections, and also a section similar to the training grounds at the Null residence.
The first test took place in that section, it was a tournament.
Logan used his magic sense to gauge the strength of everyone around him, to accurately avoid standing out with other kids
"I know that hair" he suddenly heard, "I knew it, the null family's kid", Logan finally looked in the direction it came from.
There was a kid with bright red hair, "I'm from the flame family, Nick, nice to meet you" the kid said while extending his hand out for a handshake.
Nick tried to measure his strength with magic, but Logan resisted the attempt.
Even without magic, Logan could tell he was strong, since everything has mana he was is able to accurately asses the strength his muscles.
"Same, it's nice to meet you, I hope we can be friends" Logan said while smiling, "good luck in the tournament" nick said.
After his interaction with Nick, Logan remembered he couldn't disgrace his family name.
So he decided to put up a good fight against Nick, with a heightened body weight of 750x.
He normally had it at 500x, but since he realized, he can use his fast type of swordsmanship while heavier, it would give of the impression that he was a rookie.
"Your a lot stronger than you seem" Nick said, during the last round, "yea, well I'm trying my hardest" said Logan, "and it seems you're playing around" Logan said while panting
"Yeah, I'll finish this then" Nick said while dashing towards him, Logan tried to defend it and failed because he was to slow, but the match ended before he could get hurt, not that he would.
"Good match" Logan called out to Nick, after he got back up. "Thank you, you did pretty decently yourself, getting 5th".
"Thank you" Logan thanked him
It was after the martial arts exam, the sun was on top of the mountains, and Logan was heading towards the head masters offices.
To make it easier they had the faculty of both schools all in one building, that made it easier on Logan because he didn't want to waste energy going to both buildings.
He asked the front desk if he could meet with both of the headmasters, and had to also say he was apart of the Null family, to help the clerk to fully understand.
When he was in the presence of both the headmasters, he said "I don't want to waste my time here at this school, and I know you want a good deal"
"Yes, but why do you need both of us" the headmaster for the magic school asked, "I don't want to stand out to the kids, and make things more difficult. So I would like to propose a deal to you two", Logan said with a strange push for them to accept.
"Alright I'll listen" said the knights headmaster said, "as will I" said the other one.
"Ok, here's my proposition", Logan went on too explain that he wanted his own research lab, while showing his mastery over each element.
And showing his swordsmanship ability, to the knights headmaster, in order to spend as much time in the magic academy that he could.
In the end he got the laboratory, but in order to keep it, he would have to attend magic school after his year of mandatory lessons, as well as the additional advanced lessons, to further his mastery with the sword.
