Dinner was over and Tess wanted to hang out with her brother, and so she asked for him to join her for her late night magic practice.
Of course Logan joined her because he wanted to see how far Tess had come from the last year, since he hasn't been teaching her recently he didn't think that Tess would get to the second phase of water, and even less so the third stage of fire.
"Wow Tess! you have gotten so far in the last year, you didn't even grow that fast the first 2 years I taught you", "thank you so much Logan, but surely you learned more than me?"
"Of course I have I didn't just sit around" Logan used sound magic to say behind Tess, "ahh! Oh that was you sorry" Tess got scared pretty easily so he should of probably gave her a warning. "No it was my fault I just wanted to show off to you. I'm sorry"
Tess continued on to show all that she learned with light magic, until she fell asleep with mana deprivation. Logan never had that problem probably because when he first learned to absorb mana he never stopped, if he was about to overflow, he just used magic, until he got space magic then he almost never stopped.
It was the next day and Logan was to go out to the training grounds and show his new swordsmanship techniques that he learned. He was up against the captain of the guards, and he wasn't going to hold back from the look of things.
And soon the fight started, Logan made it look like he had a hard time before he beat him, "good job Logan"he heard his family say as well as the guards.
"I think that your swordsmanship is acceptable now, so I don't think that it is going to be a problem if you go to the magic school" said his dad.
When his family left, the captain as well as the other soldiers, immediately went to ask Logan how strong he had gotten from last time they saw each other.
"Well of course I got stronger" Logan said smugly, "so how strong are you really?" He heard one of the soldiers say.
"I don't know" Logan said simply, "then turn off your gravity magic and run to that wall as fast as you can". Logan complied and reached the wall at the other side of the grounds in less than 2 seconds. (Around quarter of a mile away)
After a couple seconds he came back because he couldn't answer anyone else from that far away, their shock was inevitable, Logan didn't think that they wouldn't be. Except the captain he wasn't shocked, and in turn it shocked everyone else because he just said "as expected of the young master" while smiling.
It turns out he wasn't shocked because he already saw a little bit of his strength before he left, when Logan was teaching him.
After the performance Logan presented too the soldiers, he decided to go hang out with his older sister. She was a very prominent researcher at the capital but for his last year at the knight school she took a vacation in order to find a suitable marriage partner. She hit the jackpot by falling in love with the maple family's oldest child.
"So how is the marriage plan going" Logan asked Annie. "We are going to marry next summer break" school started in winter so that meant he was going to return home for the small summer break.
(His older sisters name is Annie)
The school term starts in the winter with a 2 week break in the summer, so that meant he was going to have to miss a week of school. Not that he thought it was a big deal he could just go over what they were going to cover that week, and so he could use his master of the mind skill to instantly remember what they covered.
Annie told Logan what she was working on, and it turns out she was working on light magic theory's, Logan took a quick interest to it given it was the only magic without different levels.
After they went over that he went to hang out with his brother, parents as well as Tess. That routine continued on for the rest of his break until a month past and he had to go back.
Annie would of joined him but she's needs to sort out the rest of the marriage plans, but Tess is going to accompany Logan so for this trip he wasn't going to be alone.
It was time for them to set off, Logan's goodbye wasn't as big a deal as last time, because Tess was going to go with him, as we as her also being a year younger than the normal attendees, and her first time being so far away from home.
After they finally said their goodbyes, they set off. "you don't seem that stressed for it being your first time" Logan said after they couldn't see the house. "Well that because you aren't stressed. When your stressed I'm stressed" Tess said leaning her head on his shoulder, "yeah that makes sense" Logan said patting her head.
