The base felt different now that all seven of them were there. The silence had turned into tension and curiosity mixed together. No one fully understood what was happening but no one could ignore it either. They were all connected by the same thing and that connection was impossible to deny. The next morning everything changed.
Adrian gathered all of them in a large training area inside the base. It was wide and empty with solid walls and advanced systems placed around it. Jenny looked around and said this place looks serious. Rayan gave a small smile and said it has to be.
Elisa stood quietly at the front her eyes focused. Zoe stood beside her calm as always. Stebin and Louis looked around trying to understand what they were supposed to do while Kevin observed everything carefully. Jake stretched his arms slightly as if preparing for something.
Mira stepped forward and said from today your training begins. She explained that the rings were not just objects they were sources of power and those powers were already inside them. Leo added that what they felt before was only the beginning.
Selene said control is the first step. Adrian looked at all of them and said you cannot fight something you do not understand and right now you do not understand your own power.
Jenny crossed her arms and said so what do we do just stand here and wait for something to happen. Rayan said not exactly and activated the training system. The walls around them lit up and a controlled simulation environment started forming.
Adrian said focus on your ring. He told them to close their eyes and try to feel the energy inside them. At first nothing happened. The room stayed silent and still. A few seconds passed and some of them started losing focus. Then something changed. A faint glow appeared around Elisa's ring. Her eyes were still closed but her expression had become more serious. She could feel it again that same energy but stronger this time. It moved through her like a current steady and powerful.
Zoe felt it next. Her breathing slowed and her focus sharpened. Jenny opened one eye slightly and said is something supposed to happen because I am not feeling anything. Suddenly a small burst of energy came from her hand. She stepped back in shock. Rayan laughed lightly and said looks like you are feeling something now.
Stebin clenched his fist and felt a surge of strength run through his arm. Kevin's eyes widened slightly as he noticed the change in his own body. Louis looked at his hand and said this is real. Jake smiled slightly as if he was enjoying the moment. The energy in the room started building. Adrian watched carefully and said do not fight it let it flow. Mira monitored the readings while Selene observed their movements. Leo looked both amazed and concerned at the same time.
Elisa opened her eyes. For a brief moment a faint glow passed through them. She looked at her hand and then forward. She was not confused anymore. She was focused. Adrian noticed it. He said she is the fastest to adapt. Rayan added she might be the strongest. Elisa heard it but did not respond.
She simply raised her hand slightly and the energy around her became more stable. Controlled. The others looked at her. For the first time they were not just seven strangers. They were becoming something more. A team.
Training had only just begun. And already the power inside them was starting to rise.
