Well I was not expecting this. I think this Verizon of mahouka is different than the original and I don't mean that because of my existence. Mother just assigned me an artificial "human" as a maid and bodyguard. The so called guardians assigned to members of the family. The problem is she has dog ears… and a tail… and looks exactly like Delta from eminence in shadows. She appears to be around my age either made to be so, or just actually is hard to tell with Yotsuba expirements honestly.
"Greeting master! I'm Kuro Zetsumei" She said with zero etiquette, like a happy dog. Kinda should've expected that. Maya said nothing so that means they probably tried to teach her etiquette, but couldn't so they just called it a day because she was loyal like a dog. It was a little weird considering the name the gave her literally translates to Black Annhilation in English.
"Hello. A pleasure to meet you ." I said with a polite smile. She looked very happy at my acknowledgement of her existence. Then proceeded tried to glomp onto me. Key word tried as Hayama, who was now Mothers Butler, grabbed her before she could.
"Young Delta I'm tell you this now so you do not embarrass master ryu in public. Do not latch onto him in public you are his servant and guard dog remember that."
"Yes sir." she said with a military salut. Hayama sighed knowing full well she would try but probably inevitable fail to do so.
While this exchange was going on I was worried that more AU nonsense would happen, but I guess only time will tell. I guess genetic engineered dog girl maid isn't 100% impossible. considering how much the Yotsuba delve into genetics and the creation of artificial humans. As fucked up and amoral as such a practice is that I'm 100% sure my old self would be disgusted by I weirdly felt nothing… maybe because Delta was cute or I was currently biased in favor the Yotsuba.
"Well now that the task of assigning you a guardian is done follow me Ryu. I have called the everyone to the main estate to announce my fathers death, me being made head of the family and introducing you to the rest of them. Oh and Feel free to show off a bit." Said mother
Hayama took Kuro somewhere else for a reason I do not know.
"Take good care of that one and she'll take care of you." Said Maya cryptically
"What do you mean by that mother?" I asked
"That girl is as you probably guessed and artificially engineered human however she is closer to being gene edited baby and having her wolf DNA fused into her before birth via magic. She is technically a Yotsuba however we can not officially regcognize her nor does she know. She is also the only successful case of this experiement that didn't die out right or have unstable genetics that would cause her to die young. However unlike the others she was not born in a tube. You are lucky though she was to be disposed of today actually not that she had any clue. She also has an intrinsic magic and it is a powerful thing to." Explained Maya
'What's with all the people with intrinsic magic around here. As far as I remember only tatsuya ever displayed that sort of thing. It was mentioned to be a thing but I don't think anyone else ever showed it. Although my memory of the book hasn't been too reliable lately and canon is impossible but knowing what abilities people have should help. I know I'm not one to talk considering I have intrinsic magic but a third person. Okay I should stop this is my life now can't keep getting surprised by these things.' I thought surprised but didn't let it show.
When we got to the clan meeting area Hayama was already there.
'As expected of a professional butler' I thought
Maya guide me to the head of the table an made me stand next to her as she took the head seat. I could already see some of the old farts of the family scowling at both of us. It reminded me that despite Maya being the heir to the clan most of the family hated and feared her with exception of her sister Miya.
"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS MAYA!?" said some random Yotisba extra. This guy didn't look like anyone described in the novel. So he was either dead or just not important by the time it happened.
"As you can see my uncle is dead, claimed by his injuries from the war and I as his heir am now in charge." Said Maya in an as a matter of fact tone.
"That I understand, but who is the child!?" he demanded
"Who are you to demand things of me, the clan Matriarch! Said. Maya her tone laced with venom. "However, I'm feeling generous as I have just taken the role. To answer your question he is my son I've adopted him because he caught my interest and I'm sure he will be useful to the future prosperity of our clan." Maya Explained.
The idot gritted his teeth in anger clearly not liking the fact that an outsider like me had been brought into the family the way that I was. He suddenly pulled out a gun type CAD and fired some attack spell at me. It didn't really matter. The other family members were shocked except for mother and her sister, but no one tried to stop him. As the spell came towards me I opened my mouth and inhaled. The spell funneled into my mouth and I could taste the magic… it was bad tasted like burnt toast or something similar. The rest of the family looked surprised even Aunt Miya but not mother. After all I told her I could do this on the way here in the hall.
"Blegh, your magic tastes awful." I said as I wiped my face. They were stunned until a voice broke them out of their stupor.
"Hayama take Goroku Yotsuba and punish him for attacking a family member unprovoked and unprompted. Also when your done make sur she forgets what he saw here. I'm fully aware it will get out eventually, but it's too early this information stays in this room no one else should know. If I find out anyone leaked this info it will be a fate worse than death." Said Maya
"As you wish mistress." Said Hayama in response. As he looked over the room with a glare. The other yotsuba flinched knowing that he would enforce her promise. He then grabbed the now named extra, Goroku Yotsuba, and dragged him away
"WHAT!? NO PLEASE MERCY!!!" HE SHOUTED.
"Now continuing with the meeting. Oh Ryu you don't need to be here for the rest go down the hall the right and introduce yourself to the other children, and don't be a push over if they try to mess with you." She said with a malicious smile.
"Yes mother." I said heading off wondering how that would work.
'If my math was right the Kurosawa twins were one at this point the only people near my age was tatsuya and miyuki out of the other heir candidates the youngest would be twelve around now and the oldest 16… probably only the 12 year old is here.

Authors note: Alrighty I'm back on this finally got through my writers block gonna delete the two authors notes chapter I apologize I'm not going to be able to keep up the schedule I promised didn't realize how much work reaserching mahouka would be when I started this. also the delta look alike I figure why not the Yotsuba were known to try to play god with genetics I just gave a plossible reason for her existence and why she wasn't in canon. There may be more instances of characters like that but I will make them seem probable. Also originally I was gonna have the love intrest be mayumi for drama purposes but I read why Maya hates the Saegusa so yeah unless I change me mind and make this harem (and that's unlikely honestly) she's not gonna be love interest.
